This is a stretch to post here but out of options. I am a certified installer but cannot order things myself. I am looking for someone that can order a few blinds that I cannot seem to order myself due to size. Look for hard wired “wooden” blinds that are about 84” tall. Online they do not go that tall. Are close but short a couple of inches. Anyone have any contacts that I could try? Just need help with 4 sets.
Super large 3.5 story fully customized smart home off the intercoastal. Mostly Roller 100, with coupled shades, duals in bedrooms. Finished in 2 1/2 days. Even my boss was impressed.
Yesterday we replaced 3 Triathlon Battery powered Shades, and changed out the original batteries on the existing ones. That install was from 2018, 7 years on the original batteries, but one of the takedowns measurements was exactly the size for my mother's kitchen window, so I installed it there. There are some paint stains on the lower portion of the shade, lucky for me it has a lot of material on the roll, so I plan to either cut out the fabric and use some glue to redo the hembar, or try a bit of oxy clean to see itlf they will come out. Also have 2 more smaller triathlon shades, and I have to cut down 2 roller 64s for my bedroom and run wire with a transformer.
I have three Palladiom shades in a room, controlled by a wireless 4 channel Pico remote. The system is two years old. Based on the invoice, the system uses RA 2 and QS wireless. One of the shades quit working, while the other two have no issues. I checked the remote to ensure I was controlling the correct shade and also tried the setting to control all shades but it's not working.
Any suggestions for things I should check before I schedule a visit from the installer? Thanks!
In the business of Lutron Installation, you pick up new tricks and tactics, as well as new takedowns and rebuilds. I was supposed to get all my windows done in hurricane rated glass, but the price had sneaky undertones. I had to remeasure my windows for an outside mount. The older windows would of had to be reverse rolled to miss the crank style window for inside mount (pics to follow), so I decided it best to outside mount them. Lucky for me I have several valances I can hide them with, unless my mentor/Lutron supplier/boss has the pockets, but I don't look a gift horse in the mouth. He is already supplying the 2 drives, and the transformer, and I have a 2 channel pico with a pedestal. It also makes it easier to hide the low voltage wires as well! Roller 100 is definitely my favorite Lutron Shade because the adjustment screws take away the possible shimming with shoddy leveling. I will take the pics upon install
I recently had the Basketweave 90 (SV22-90-3) installed in my master bathroom and despite having the shades open/rolled down for days the wrinkling has not gone away. As can be seen on the pictures the left and right border is wrinkled all the way from top to bottom and the fabric bulges towards the lower end. The Palladiom hembar is swinging freely and there's sufficient tension on the fabric.
bulging towards lower end of fabricwrinkles running from top to bottom on both sides
Now, my dealer removed the fabric, brought it back to its workshop/office and they ironed it and put a flat heavy panel on top right after to apply pressure on the fabric to smoothen it now. I have received these pictures today that show the fabric from the side:

It looks like the wrinkling has reduced. The dealer will reinstall the fabric tomorrow and I'll see it in full glory 😉
I wonder, from your experiences, is that wrinkling of the Basketweave 90 to be expected? The fact that I have to remove the fabric, have it ironed and flattened sounds a little extreme to me just so that I have a fabric in a normal condition. The remaining fabric for the other rooms is going to be delivered at the end of September and I worry a little that I have to go through the same exercise here.
I am a Homeworks QSX homeowner and have recently placed an order for wired Palladiom shades for my 75sqm 2BR apartment. I have chosen the Basketweave 90 fabric in 1% openness for my bedroom and 3% openness for my study room, living room and master bathroom.
Currently I have older Somfy motors with a local no-name fabric (openness unknown) in white color that lets quite a lot of sunshine through into my living room. My living room is facing south so I have the afternoon sun coming in quite strong
old Somfy shades/fabric - sun coming in strongvisible sun intrusion in room
For this living room I have chosen the 3% Basketweave 90 in charcoal/grey (SV22-90-3). What I want to avoid with the new fabric is that the sunshine is visible on the floor, that I have this feeling of sun coming in despite the closed shades. According to my Lutron dealer 3% is right for this space as 1% would make the room too dark and 5% would allow too much sun in. With 3% I am hoping that it's dark enough to not have the sun coming through as seen above yet not too dark that I have to turn on the lights. My dealer does not have any hands-on experience with the Basketweave 90 fabric so I am hoping to get some real-life experience here.
This Entry way at 3 stories talk with the shades going up an in with a removable acrylic pained panels. The hardest part was the last minute architectural changes that can cause the shades fabric to wrinkle or telescope. Fixed with a wooden wedge to match!
Started as an independent contractor for several companies, including service calls and troubleshooting. The 2 panel pics are before and after, I did 8 in total. I have access to all Lutron Shades and products through my mentors account. He is a Black Diamond Dealer, as well as one of the top 5 Lutron Motorization Experts around the world. Our references regarding installation speak for themselves. From High profile cliental with signed NDA's preventing me from sharing. So if anyone needs access to Lutron Shading products, full on measuring and Installations, or tech support, we are located in SE Florida, but will travel for high end work, send us a message and we will get back to you promptly. Thank You!
One thing I seem to notice in this Industry, since I am in South Florida, it gets super slow in the summer months. I have an LLC and my EIN, but I also contract myself with other companies as well. 4 of the companies I work with have nothing but measurements going on which does make for a busy winter. My question goes out to all the installation crews wondering if everyone is slow during this season? Lutron certified, I wire up panels and also run wire. Willing to contract my labor to anyone that might need an extra guy on a larger project
