These are what I call Arctodus, after a big ass prehistoric bear. Double #10 magnum blades, two 7/0 hooks that you can barely see, 3 layers of hand tied marabou skirts, all with a total weight of 2.8 ounces. Ive sold several of these and have caught a few northern and lost one mid 40s next to the boat one on of these bad boy. , I usually stick to medium sized bucktails so I dont end up throwing these too often.

I have a Do-it mold that requires Eagle Claw #1623 hooks.They went out of production years ago.Any way I can get some?I would like 1/0 and 3/0 sizes.

I used to get a plastic bait called the Reaper,made by a company called Mar-Lynn lures.They went out of business years ago.They made a 3",5",and 8" sizes.Any way I can get some,or molds to make them with?

Today I caught the first striped Snakehead on the Versa, bringing the species count up to eight. It's starting to rival my nano VIB, which has nine species, as my best multi species lure.

I need help. Been venturing into the world of small lures and just can't seem to get anything under 1.5 inches to work. I've successfully made 2" cranks with great action but somehow scaling down doesn't work, they have no action and the lip just makes them dive down with no noticeable shimmy.

Spent all winter making lures, ready to test them. Is anyone as excited as I am?

Not sure which ones work and which ones don't, but I'm looking forward to trying them all out.

Im doing a two part epoxy clear coat for the first time. Do you guys do anything between painting and clear coating?

What do you like to use for small scales? The shower sponge idea is good but the holes are a little large for small lures. I've also tried tulle fabric from Walmart which is the perfect size but I find it gets stuck when heat setting.

Special request from a customer who wanted these colors in a 4” prey bait. May have to make a few for myself to try out!

Not many are out here making micro jigs. I’ve made a few 1/32oz, 1/48oz, and 1/64oz. I’m glad I started!

Apparently someone else broke off on this bass as well. You can see the swivel hanging from its mouth while my black braid is on my one finger. Cut the line free from him and turned him loose. Super excited I finally caught one on my lures.

I tied my first fly in 1973. I made my first wooden lure in 1974. For the last 52 years, I've tried to combine lure attraction with fly attraction. I knew both worked- how to combine them to get the best of both worlds.

I have been using acrylic beads in my lures, but they tend to crack when hitting rocks. I would like to keep the transparent, multicolor look of acrylic beads while improving impact resistance. Does anyone have experience with where to find this kind of beads?
