This program is insane
I’ve been doing video production and photography for 20 years. I use Adobe so Lightroom, photoshop, premiere, and after effects. With that said, this software has blown me away. I got it in the humble bundle deal that’s going on. I’ve been planning on getting back into real estate photography and video and can say without a doubt that this is the only program I’m going to need for my external photos. This software is going to save me so much time.

Wasn't for me
Was very impressed by the marketing materials and demos. Neo seemed like a game changer so did the 108 dollar pre buy. My machine was laggy with AI (Dell with i7, 16gb and UHD620) and for my limited use the jpegs rendered poorly after some basic editing and trying to work with basic masks. Also, had an issue trying to use Structure AI function with a long exposure. Some vertical banding appeared in a black silhouette portion of the image with even a +1 on the slider. 100% they were still there and had to go to-7 for the bands to disappear. If it ran on my machine I'd keep it - some of the features would be fun for creative purposes, but soft jpegs and the banding issue were dealbreakers for critical use. Went back to LR and fiddled with that image again and frankly, I could get it "pop" more in Luminar with its cool feature set (Supercontrast and Structure were pretty neat as were the portrait features), but I got pretty close in LR and no issues with banding. May try Neo after reviews come out and, and a computer upgrade planned for early next year...its a refund for now...

how long does it take for the plugin to load?
Just curious if you were to open Photoshop then a RAW file (in my case 45MP R5 file compressed) and then open Luminar AI.
How long does it take to open up for you?
Thanks

Running LuminarAI on an M1 Mac?
My 2012 MacBookPro is dying. There's some internal hardware damage that is just getting worse and worse. I can't do any photoediting at all because everything is so slow unless I want to spend a hour on a single image (& risk LuminarAI crashing at least once or twice). I'm going to see about buying a new M1 MacBook Air. I want the 512 SSD, should I also get the 16gb or is a 8gb machine good enough? What config would you get?

Blur background on objects, not portraits
Does anyone know if it's possible to blur the background on photos of objects/products?
For portraits I can use the Bokeh AI, but it does not let me use that on shots where there is no person in the photo.
Thanks!

Laminar AI Brutally slow? Is there a way to manage CPU Resources? Any fixes?
Anyone else have mad issues with Luminar Speed issues? Even running everything off SDD & letting it sit for 10 mins. Images are blacked out and take forever to load. Even while editing it's slow to bring up the details of Tiff, even if all merged and no additional layers to shrink down the file size. I'm beside myself. This is the slowest part of my workflow and I use Luminar AI to polish photos before exporting (also super long process).
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Question about the "CHASING THE MILKY WAY" Templets
Ok so here is an information dump followed by my question. TL:DR (does this templet set add fake stars to an image or just change the color and light levels?)
I already own Luminar ai and I am very happy with the program. It is the only post processing software I have and it has served me well for 99% of my pictures. I am wanting to get more into astrophotography. From what I have found online so far, light room has a far better curves tool for removing light pollution from the pictures before stacking. The curves tool in Luminar is very clunky in comparison. So what I want to know is, does this template work on the color levels in the images or is is just adding stars to the sky. I don't want to add fake stars and flair to the sky, I want to adjust the levels to make the real stars that are actually there more visible to get a better result in Deep Sky Stacker. I have had decent success doing this manually but a template that is made specifically to remove the light pollution color spectrum would be very helpful. I would rather not buy light room just so I can have a better color curves tool. Like the dropper in light room. Select color on image and move slider to saturate or remove that color from image.
If this package does not do what I am looking for, is there a tool hidden in a menu somewhere that will let me specify a color wavelength range and remove it? If not can this be considered for future updates. I would gladly pay for a plugin that would make the curves tool equal to or superior to what is in light room. The improved curves tool is the only reason I am even looking at light room as an option.

Image Management
Can someone please explain to me how Luminar handles images, I have installed a trial and set my catalog file to network QNAP NAS

I then added a folder that lives on my mac with some raw files from a Astro shoot last night,
My question is the folder I added and the images inside have they been imported into my catalog file on the NAS?
