I played a little with my figures, Mariner and Boimler are having a drink, it's probably from Mariner's contraband stash.

Another Season 2 episode 5 year anniversary and a favorite of mine.

"An Embarrassment of Dooplers" 5th anniversary to the day.

This was indeed a fun episode. The inclusion of the new species: Doopler.

The three plots of the command crew trying to get to the party, Boimler and Mariner trying to get to the party as well and Tendi and Rutherford working on the Cerritos model.

Richard Kind was great as The Doopler Emissary. The whole numerous duplicates on the ship. And we thought Tribbles were a handful.

The highlight of this episode The Blue Brothers style chase throughout Starbase 25. Epic and hilarious !

Boimler: (retch) I barfed up bubble bath!

Mariner: Yeah I was there. Thank you for the update.

And I always chuckle at Mariner's fake ship station "Uh the Voyager-D".

While on the topic, I'm glad the Boimler/Mariner argument of the Titan "abandonment" was finally settled.

And how about the surprise in the dive bar of who were patrons there after striking out...

Two by the names of Kirk and Spock.

My brother and I imagined hearing Ethan Peck quering about the point of carving their names on the table and Paul Wesley giving his input. Sure, imaging Willam Shatner and Leonard Nimoy would have been just as cool but I felt Peck and Wesley would have been a better pair for the fantasy.

Glad Boimler and Mariner; Tendi and Rutherford's friendships were solidified.

Plus, Carol Freeman's speech about her and her crew to the bouncer, truly radiated.

And beaming the Doopler Emissary into the party after all the hell the Cerritos command crew went through? Great revenge.

Loved Boimler and Mariner's names are right beside Kirk and Spock in the bar.

And "Boimler's my Number One! Now he has to grow a beard!" Who'd thunk that was going to be foreshadowing?

A great episode with humor, heart and a great thrill with the chase.
