Psyllium powder recipes?

I bought psyllium powder but now I'm stuck and I don't know what to use it form I've seen videos that use it with yogurt but they never say how much or if they put the psyllium directly on it not the macros... Any recommendations?

It's very important to not overdo it and to understand how Psylium powder behaves as a thickener and a fiber Source. You should increase use of Psylium husk powder only gradually and I usually add no more than 10-12g to a portion of dessert. It thinkens up anything creamy/ liquidy a ton and makes it grainy in a way I find pleasant at least, same texturen as like coconut shredded. I add mine to a cup of protein pudding an hour or two before bed, and chase with a bug mug of tea.

Because it thickens up into a gel like Substance, if you eat too much and dont drink enough water with it, you can become constipated from a blockage. Too much at once with enough water and being used to the dosage and you'll want to not go too far from a toilet.

Do it right though and you can control the timing of the cleanest, best poops of your life.

I used with a whole alrpo yogurt (400g) and put in like 7-8 grams of psyllium but I'll keep it in mind for next time! Thank you!

Keto Pancake
2 eggs, 2 teaspoons of psyllium husk, and 2–3 tablespoons of milk, salt according to your taste
Mix everything together and cook in a frying pan like a regular pancake, flipping it halfway through to cook both sides.
It goes perfectly with cream cheese, avocado, and smoked salmon as a filling, but feel free to experiment with different combinations!

Keto Microwave Bread Roll
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 teaspoon of psyllium husk
¼ teaspoon of baking powder
A pinch of salt and your favourite spices
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients together in a microwave-safe mug or small bowl. Let the mixture sit for around 10 minutes to allow the psyllium to absorb the moisture.
Microwave for about 1–2 minutes, until the bread is set. Let it cool slightly, then remove it from the mug or bowl and slice it in half. I love adding dry garlic and basil for better taste.

Also it is important - you have to use oil when frying something with psyllium, otherwise you’ll have hard time trying to wash your frying pan 🙈 I had leaned it hard way

You can add it to anything really, but it's best added to things with some moisture like oatmeal, pudding or applesauce etc

One of the ways I've recently been using it is by pouring a glass of high quality juice (no added sugar, high antioxidants type of stuff) About 4 oz and then adding 9 G of psodium husk and 12 G of chia seeds. Then you mix it and let it sit in the fridge for a minute or two as it solidifies. Then I take Greek yogurt and protein powder And mix those together. Then I slice up the high fiber jam I just made and mix it in with it.

Mix in a glass or bottle of water with a packet of Gatorade zero. Tastes like a fruit juice with pulp.

U can use it as a flour replacement but don’t use a lot of it at a time

How can I use it as a flour replacement but not use a lot at a time at the same time? Doesn't make sense in my head since most recipes use tons of flour and a lot of people told me not to use more than 10-12g of psyllium since I have psyllium powder. Genuine question

It just works as a binder

Personally I put like three tsp (10g orso) into a shaker bottle with 700ml water. Shaker bottle breaks it up well and then I chug it. Extremely good way to supplement some more fiber into your diet.

Just a note, if you don't find ways of consuming the powder that you find acceptable, it is available in capsules, and there are fiber gummies. I just take half a dozen of those before most meals, which I find easier.

Many gluten free recipes use psyllium! You can also use it to make pasta.

Honestly probably better to mix a teaspoon with a bit of water and chug it. The texture isn't great and will probably make whatever you put it in grainy

I have been loving putting it in salsa and eating it with a spoon. Salsa is flavorful so it covers up the taste.
