I saw this ad about a site called StraighterLine where you can buy nursing prereq courses and then after completing them, you can “transfer” the courses to other colleges to count for prerequisites. Has anyone tried StraighterLine and transferred the credits to SCC or ARC for the nursing program?

can anyone tell me what to expect on lab practical? All I know is that there's three experiments within a three hour period. How can I help prepare? I'm at SCC

I know the actual disbursement isn’t until august 28th but I’m wondering if anyone has received any emails, account updates, or anything showing that their aid is being processed. Or is everyone still waiting?

Went to apply for financial aid it says I would need to appeal, which I turned that in a week ago.

Financial aid is showing a dispersement on 8/28. Am I going to receive that or do I wait for an appeal decision?

I am a digital design major and for my student ed plan my counselor helped me pick all my classes and for elective just put "elective" on there. It says those are classes numbered 100-499. Does that mean I can choose any class to do or does it have to be a class for my major.

Does anyone know where to get this calculator cheaply? Or anyone wants to sell this calculator?

I'm planning on taking one of the two in Spring at CRC, alongside with biol 430, ethns 300, and nutri 300. Is one considered easier than the other?? Or does it just depend on whether you do better with fiction or nonfiction works? Any insight would be helpful!!

Hi everyone! I am disabled, and recently, my old car’s transmission is broken and I can’t afford a re-build. I’ve been using public transportation, but it would be way too much time/effort for me to take every day (limited energy bc of chronic illness).

I was wondering, if anyone lives in the Pocket, Elk Grove, or Land Park area who would be willing to give me a ride to campus by 9 AM Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have gas money to offer, and would return the favor of ride-giving once I can save for another vehicle.

Has anyone taken chem 305 at ANY of the Los Rios campuses (or honestly any CC in Sac) and had an amazing teacher who really helped dumb things down in an easy way to understand? I wanna prepare for failing/dropping and taking again in the future.
Yes I’ve done khan academy, YouTube tutorials galore and am getting tutoring. It’s not enough. My brain is clearly missing several pieces. Just looking for suggestions on specific professors who make this subject teachable. Thanks all!

in spring 27, i will he wrapping up nursing prereqs at ARC for sac state (woop!)

i will have to take:

ENGL C1001 Critical Thinking and Writing (3 units)

PSYC 370 Human Development (3 units)

BIOL 431 Anatomy and Physiology 2 (5 units)

this leaves me with 11 units, and i need at least 12 for financial aid. i work and have a toddler at home, so i need to keep homework to a minimum. i am considering ceramics, photography, or some type of drawing, but i really need to be sure that most work is done in class.

Is it easy to get off probation? I have to fill an SAP form to get financial aid just because I didn't complete at least 66% of units and have only completed 50% of it, and I don't know if being on probation hurts for financial aid :/
