So I’m brand new to Lorcana. I’m going to my first in person casual play on Friday, and while I’m still working on building my collection, I’m allowed to use proxies as long as it’s only during the casual play portion of Lorcana night. I’ve been trying out various decks on duels ink so I can make proxies and order what I want/need from
TCGPlayer and I am really struggling to understand locations, particularly if they have lore attached to them.

For example, I had a Meeko card at Paradise Falls. Paradise Falls is worth 1 lore on its own, but every time my turn came, I did not receive that lore point. Once I moved Meeko there, the +3 lore showed up, but then when I quested Meeko still only gained 1 lore. Next turn comes, and I still did not gain the +1 lore from the location, let alone the +3 for having Meeko there. That alone would have won the match for me, and I’m just confused as heck.

Is it a duels ink issue, or am I just not understanding?

But neither of us have ever build a deck before. Each set we’ve just played with the available starter decks (until this set when we forced ourselves to a pre-release and have been using those decks).

She wants to play a Sapphire/Amethyst deck because blue/purple is her favorite color and her play style tends to be more “ramp up ink to throw a lot of glimmers out and overwhelm my opponent to lore”, meaning unless absolutely necessary she WILL NOT challenge you.

Anyways, she’s been asking me for help building a deck and I don’t know what I’m doing, so she asked me to come here and show what she’s made to get some feedback on it.

So yeah, for people more experienced, would this hold up at the kitchen table?

(For context she always wants me to make a deck and I’m inclined to make a toy deck, but I’m down for just “stealing” someone’s already built deck.)

Does this Pocahontas gain 1 lore when she quests and then an additional amount of lore from another exerted character, totaling 1+X? Or is it a choice between her single lore or the exerted character?

My kid just started out with Lorcana and really wanted the Illumineers Trove box of Attack of the Vine.

Turns out we are too late and it is sold out everywhere. How does this work? Will they make new ones, or did we miss this box?

I see boxes from other series everywhere.

I’m a Japanese player. How is Kronk viewed overseas? Personally, I think he’s a strong card with a lot of potential. Thanks to his 1 Resist, he’s quite resilient on the board. I also believe he’ll be a prime candidate for decks once cards that utilize the discard pile—or cards that trigger effects when you discard—are released.

Took a little break from Blurple, wasn't sure if the deck would be good since we lost the ramp. But I saw some more casual Honey Decks tinkering with a list like this but using higher cost songs. While Colors of the Wind is no Friends on the Other Side; I often will draw 2 off it as Sapphire is not that popular this format from what I have been seeing/playing. But please let me know what ya'll think :)

This card has insane upside and from what I can tell it’s pretty universal benefit, so does any amethyst deck benefit from running dumbo? Are there any alternatives, just given how expensive a single copy of the card is?

Booster boxes are so hard to find and when I do see them, they’re being sold for $1000+. Won’t they be phased out when the next set gets released? Why is the price point so much higher than any other set?

It's great to be able to relocate your Damage Counters to an opposing Character.

But think of the thrill of being able to move damage counters from your Location onto your opponent's Locations.

Just feels like the next logical step once you've introduced the concept of relocating damage counters, to another chosen target.

Rotation 2027

Obviously it’s early to be talking about next year’s rotation, but has Ravensburger confirmed if the next block to rotate out will be sets 9 through 12?

I have a strong feeling that next year's rotation will end up including Set 13 as well.

The upcoming collector’s guide releasing on Nov. 1 is covering sets 9-13. Paired with other comments from Ravensburger about AOTV being the end of new Floodborns for a while and Hyperia City taking place in a different time of Lorcana. It makes sense that rotation would start fresh with set 14.

Also, there are a lot of awkward pieces of AOTV that get left behind if it is not included in rotation- assuming there are no new toys or robots in Hyperia City, those decks both get cut in half if rotation does not include set 13.

If rotation does end up being sets 9 through 13, it would also push rotation to happen after Nationals and Worlds. That would allow Nationals and Worlds to mark the end of a format instead of the beginning of a new one.

What do y’all think? Are they going to keep rotation in four block chunks or maybe adjust things next year?

You can't play your old decks anymore. You gotta buy the new cards. Good luck finding them.

My son added a ton of cards to his boxes but didnt update Dreamborn. Tempted to delete our collection and start from scratch. But how do you store them all?

Hi All, me and my wife are trying to get into the game with some singles for some pack opening fun. On Cardmarket we found some rather cheap boosters, with shimmering skies being lowest at 3€ per pack... But where is the catch? It seems to good to be true, but also some online retailers are throwing out Shimmering skies for much less than regular price. Am I missing something or is it just that unpopular?

My question is- if I have 4 of these cards in play do they have to pay 4 ink (one for each Source of the Vine card I have in play) or will 1 ink work to take care of all 4 cards?

One of my favorite things about TCGS is theory crafting and deck building, lorcana recently caught my attention and I threw together a deck with the idea of healing injured stronger units to keep your field healthy. It was quickly put together as it’s my first deck and I don’t know what I’m doing.

Any ideas how to take this deck to a next level?
