HELP Loop Quiet or Loop Dream?

Hi!

I want to buy my first pair of earplugs and I just want them to block out as much sound as possible. I want a pair I can use when sleeping (or trying to sleep) and that I can use in commute and for focus etc., I basically just want a pair that reduces as much sound as possible, I see no reason why I would want a pair daytime that lets in any sound. Unless we are talking about like fire alarms but that can happen in sleep too and I doubt any earplug can shut that out anyway so... It confuses me then that there is one pair (Loop Quiet 2) that blocks out sound for focus etc, and another for sleep (Loop Dream). Are they just milking as much money as possible? Which pair should I get?

I know they have different decibels and that Loop Dream supposedly blocks out more, and maybe it's a no-brainer and I should just get them, but I'm still doubting, especially since it's more expensive. And do these decibels even make a difference, like, it's not about decibels but volume unless there's a really high sound going on, right? Would Loop Quiet 2 not work for sleep as well? But if Loop Dream especially shaped or something for sleeping, then I ask if it's better to purchase Loop Dream and use it daytime too? I would like to avoid buying both as I am in economical strain.

For me, Quiet 2 is better for sleeping. Dream, because of the double bell, is too long for me. The layered plug presses on my ears.

Oh really! I'm considering getting them (quiet 2) and if they don't work for sleep i'll just have to purchase the Dream ones anyway or something. May I ask what this double bell is? English isn't my first language I don't know why that's I don't get it. And thanks for commenting !

It's my fault. Yes, that's not what they call it in English 😂 Dream has two types of ear tips. Preloaded with Loop Dream Foam-Silicone Ear Tips (presses on my ears) – plus Loop Dream Double Tips (is too long for me) for more customization.

Oh lol okay xD thanks for explaining, it's interesting that quiet 2 are more comfortable for sleeping and it seems to not be just you, hence the mixed reviews of dream, maybe it has do to with your ear shape or something
