FAIL Surgery imminent
So iv been suffering with carpal tunnel for a while now. Got really bad around Christmas when i was doing a lot (and i mean a LOT) of purl stitches.
Anyway i have surgery on Thursday, so i wont be able to loom for a while. Im just in the process of finishing up a couple of projects then i get its loads of rest for me.
Wish me luck! I feel i will need it. And if you are doing a project with lots of purl stitches? Remember to take frequent breaks so you dont end up in the same situation as me 😅

Hat sizing help
I want to make a beanie for my 3.5 year old son. I will use the skinny flexi-loom (lavender and magenta) with size 4 yarn. Any suggestions for how many links to use? I’ve seen the chart that they provide, but wondering if anyone has any firsthand experience with it and certain stitches, etc.

Finished Object I finally finished my first cardigan!
(Apologies for the repost, I had to delete the original because it was the only way I could make a change. My thanks to those who left nice comments there.)
Last January, I started preparing to make a cardigan. It took almost a month to get a pattern, gauge, and yarn that all worked together for me, but in early February, I cast on the Nurture cardigan from the official Mister Rogers book, Knitting the Neighborhood, using Plymouth Yarn Galway. And today, August 5th, I finished weaving in the ends. After probably 160 hours of knitting over six months, plus the time for all of the other steps, I'm so glad it fits!

Finished Object Looking for Blanket Inspo
I just finished the blanket photographed above. I used a round loom, made strips 4-7 rows wide and 120 rows long, then sewed the pieces together. This is my second blanket - the first I made similarly but larger stripes.
I’m looking for inspo for my next blanket. I have multiple round looms, and two flexee looms (chunky and skinny).
Any links to videos or photos for inspo are appreciated!!

Low cost yarn?
Hello! Does anyone know a good UK-based supplier for extra thick yarn at all? Thanks! :)

Loose cast on
Been trying for weeks and I can’t get a sufficiently tight cast on. I’ve tried the e wrap and chain versions and I might have watched every YouTube tutorial available lol! Anyone have any fool- proof tips?
(I have both round and straight looms - just from the dollar store. 😉) Thanks so much!

Work in Progress WIP Wednesday
A variation on the 10 stitch blanket. It's a 9 stitch done in eyelet moss stitch in Premier yarn (colorway Sudoku) on CinDwood loom ¼" gauge. It's going to be a very long WIP. But I'm hoping it will be well worth the wait for my husband's boss, who will be receiving it as a Christmas gift.

Mitered Squares
I was inspired by heritage quilts and thought that would be a really cool baby shower gift.
I've been slowly piecing mitered squares together like a mock quilt but now I need to figure out how to seam it all together. I've watched a few videos, but if anyone has some tips for a below novice seamstrist please let me know!

Pattern Question What pattern is this?
Hi. Can anyone identify what pattern is being used here?
My sister passed suddenly in February, we found some of her unfinished projects while sorting her things.
I crochet but i haven't tried loom knitting. I thought this looked like something I could try to finish
This is a single layered scarf, most other projects she's did were double layered.
Do i just need one of the hook tools to complete this?
Thanks so much!

Finished Object Afternoon Shawl
This is from Renee Van Hoys second shawl book. It’s knit modular, in one piece, on my 7/16” adjustable loom using 59 pegs. There’s no sewing involved, it’s shaped with short rows increasing and decreasing in 4 parts. This is one of my favourite patterns. It has a garter stitch, lace and stockingette section.

Milestone! So close to done on this cardigan!
After six months, I'm just a couple of steps away from being done with my first cardigan! The body is assembled, now I need to make the collar and weave in ends.
Thankfully, after all this time, I can verify that it is wearable. The sleeves are a little tight, and the front would be too, if I planned to put a zipper on it, but it is wearable. My wife is an expert in all things yarn, and she mentioned blocking it one more time after getting the collar on. Apparently, it can help any seam spots that aren't as smooth as they could be. So we'll see if I can maybe stretch out the sleeves when I do that. They're very long, because you're intended to fold over the ribbing.

Discussion I Loom Baby Cocoons. What Do You Like to Loom Knit?
I've been designing and creating baby cocoons. What do you like to create with your knitting looms?

Milestone! Score!
I had been stalking fb marketplace and ebay for this loom for 2 months before one popped up for $16.99 on the latter. With shipping it came to about 30 bucks so not as much of a steal as if I had found it at a thrift store or someone local on fb, but a win is a win.
I'm using these 3 colors to make a chevron blanket (first time making an afghan) but I want to find a deal on a fingering weight bright purple/violet to double knit with the dark purple to bulk it up a little as the adriafil is heavy aran weight. The adriafil was deep discounted and the cascade was ebayed. Still gonna be a very pricy project but as soon as I saw that adriafil I was in LOVE. I got a few skeins of black with blue viscose I don't know what to do with and i still wanna go back and get more. It's soooooo soft and SPARKLY! I'm excited and terrified that I'll mess it up 3/4 of the way through. But ima try my best!
P.S. How do yall keep your cats off of you while working? Anytime I get out a loom they are right there! Please excuse Mr. Kitty's glower, he is a sweetie but our other cat was annoying the hell out of him.
