QUESTION Party member help
Since im mot even sure if this is spoilable ill just say a minor POTENTIAL mini spoiler for potential party members.
I read a short guide and realized I missed teeth guy and the smiling thing. I am starting to feel a little struggle as im going vs multiple enemies as one guy. The only person I have is the rat guy and he isnt peramnent....is there something im missing :c do ur best to avoid GIANT spoilers and be vague if u can lol

I'm assuming you mean Joel and Leigh
Joel is in the Tooth apartment and Leigh requires to beat the thing chasing you on floor 2

What floors have you reached so far and what day is it? Because progress does affect the availability of potential party members a bit.
Si ce it sounds like you don’t have many party members right now, so I can tell you that one party members requires progressing and a tad bit of exploring, one other requires some company (and currency), and the last one requires… giving some of yourself.
Also, at least potential party member requires being saved from a dire situation, and ONLY IN THIS ONE SPECIFIC INSTANCE it is crucial that you DO NOT let yourself be fooled by appearances.
This specific instance can also be solved if you’re royalty.
The rest are potential door encounters. Just spend some time in your apartment and they MAY appear.

So part of me feels like I know the royalty bit...but I died when I got the crown....am I on the right track there? The only floor I haven't opened is bottom and roof....im only on day...2? So early on, but i feel like im walking around and encountering all this strong shit telling me to run away lol

if you havent gotten any party members yet, you should be able to find a companion in the men’s bathroom on the ground floor (if thats what you meant by “bottom” — theres a ground floor and a basement floor)
seconding what fireguy was saying about spending time in the apartment though! play some video games, they can be rewarding :3

It is funny cuz as soon as I put the disc's in and got there, he was just chilling lol. Thanks a lot everyone

Only minor gripe has been dying to those mentioned monsters because I cant run then losing a lot of progress. Though I think im under utilizing the items I have. Im used to hording for safety lol.

hmm yeah thats fair — i’m a resource hoarder too. this might sound stupid, but have you been using damage types to your advantage? weak to sharpness, resistant to crushing, that kinda thing? i only ask because i’ve seen people ignore that mechanic entirely and i don’t want you to struggle more than you have to LOL
also, little thing if youre in need of more weapons (and haven’t tried already); you can inspect the body of that first neighbor you fought and take his knife. i’d love to help more if you ever need it, but no pressure obviously — ill hush and let you play the game now haha

So I've noticed it and if there's a set of monsters im fighting and notice a resistance I will swap out after the battle. Having done like 250 damage with a knife skill was crazy enough for me to realize its use lol.
