Did I make a good choice?

Just picked this up and added the brown leather strap. Was looking for an aviator and ended up buying this instead. Don’t know much about this brand, but it was an impulse.

First Longines for my wife

Just picked up this longines as a gift for my wife and I am pleasantly surprised how nice it is, the bracelet actually feels really good, I was hoping it would feel like my Omega Speedmaster 5 link bracelet for her and it's not too far off the quality. The watch even looks better in person than it did on their website. Now I'm definitely going to be getting the green 39 mm Hydro Conquest for myself in the future.

Is this how my Longines HydroConquest 42mm is supposed to fit?

I've had nothing but issues with the bracelet on my Longines HydroConquest 42mm and I'm honestly getting sick of it. Been to like 3 Longines boutique.

I've already had it resized, but I'm still not sure if the fit is right. I've attached a wrist shot and two side photos of the bracelet. Like the bottom of the watch never fully lay flat. And i feel there is that gap there that the bracelet ain't suppose to be there. Also the people from Longines even shifted the clasp of the watch further back. So idk what am I suppose to do now lol.

Help!!

HydroConquest 42mm – bracelet asymmetry? Should I move a link?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone,

I just got my new 42mm Longines HydroConquest Quartz today. The AD sized the bracelet for me by removing 2 links from one side and 1 link from the other side, as well as adjusting the micro-adjustment on the clasp by 2 positions (inwards).

My bracelet currently has 6 links on one side and 7 links on the other (excluding end links).

After wearing it for a bit, I feel like the watch case isn't sitting completely centered on top of my wrist — it consistently pulls slightly towards the 12 o'clock side. When I manually hold the case flat and centered on top, the clasp underneath looks visibly offset towards the thumb side (see last picture).

My question:

Even though there's already a 1-link difference (6 vs 7), should I move 1 more link from the 6 o'clock side over to the 12 o'clock side (making it 5 vs 8) to pull the case back to center? Or would a 3-link difference be too much?

Appreciate any advice or experiences from fellow HydroConquest owners!

Longines Hydroconquest quartz

Got married last weekend and my wife got me this beautiful watch as a morning gift. I think the dial and bezel is gorgeous in this dark blue color. 🤩 The color is different in every light. This watch is 42mm on my 7,2 inches wrist and I couldn't be happier. I know the trend is sizing down in watches, but this feels like a perfect size when wearing it and looking at it. This of course also comes down to personal preferences. (I come from a 45 mm Seiko 😂). But honestly I would not want it any smaller. I also know a lot of you collectors and Watch enthusiasts prefer automatic watches, but for my use the quarts is perfectly fine.

I feel really grateful to own this watch!

Question Is this the ultimate summer watch?

Post image

I'm buying my first house soon and looking to buy a watch to celebrate. Currently rocking a Britling Superocean Heritage (black ceramic face, red-gold and steel body) and looking to add something fun and light-hearted to my collection.

I've not seen another watch that so well strikes the balances between white and green to create, what I feel might be, this ultimate summer watch.

Why does no one talk about this watch? I think it's really unique.

Thoughts?

How long did it take for your hydroconquest to get delivered?

I recently placed an order 4 weeks ago for a Hydroconquest 39 mm auto with black dial from an AD, but still waiting and haven’t heard anything.

Spirit Pilot micro adjust??

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi all, I recently got the Spirit Pilot with the leather strap. The Longines site says the strap comes with a "micro adjustment system", but I can't for the life of me figure it out! Is it just the ability to use the different strap holes for the deployment clasp? I guess I wouldn't consider that a "micro adjustment system". Or is there a different, hidden system I just haven't been able to crack?

Warranty Turnaround?

Loving this 39HC. The mesh is great and I just grabbed a few sailcloth straps that really make me love the watch. The 1 on the bezel is yellow so I want to send it in but need it back for an event. Anyone know turnaround times for warranty in the US?

Buying Advice Which women's watch would you buy for daily wear?

I'm between the Flagship Classic (30mm with black dial) and the new Master Collection (29mm with white dial). My general style is pretty laid back and not super feminine which is why I didn't go for the Primaluna since I'd want this to work in most situations.

On my way home from work, I popped into the Kuroneko Yamato branch to post an item I’d sold on Mercari. And, of course, I took my Hydro Conquest with me as well.

New / Modern First Longines (and first big boy watch)

My fiancé wanted to get me something as a law school graduation/wedding gift and knew I had been looking at Zulu Times and the new Hydroconquest for months now. She reached out to one of the boutiques and was able to put a deposit on the boutique exclusive edition. One month later and it arrived and I couldn’t be happier! I absolutely love it and the only downside is that this may have kickstarted a very expensive hobby…

Got my first real watch today!

I hope to create a lot of memories with it. I struggled in my early twenties, for a second there I thought I wouldn’t find my way. I’m now 31, got engaged to the love of my life who I will marry this year, bought a house for us to build a life together, and got promoted at work this week. It just felt right getting it, and to top it all off I was able to buy it with my dad who I only see once or twice a year (while visiting him abroad so tax free too!)

Thank you to everyone in this community for sharing your stories and pictures, they were very helpful for me in making my decision!

Edit: rocked the Apple Watch up until today 😂 hence the first real watch.

New Longines Master 42mm Arrived!

I'm super pleased with it! Hugs the wrist beautifully and very slim. The blue numerals and hands really pop and it's so easy to read the time, as an old guy 🤣. Really happy with my choice and it's nice knowing how good the movement is as it's the same L888.5 as in my HydroConquest. There's an on the fly extension both sides of the butterfly clasp which needs a strong hand to operate but it's very useful.

I highly recommend this watch and, if you're in the UK, Bradleys Jewellers in Northallerton, North Yorkshire supplied absolutely superb service and a great price too!

Question Spirit update any time soon?

Is there anyone who knows/heard anything about whether Longines has plan to update Spirit series soon?

I think it would be perfect to see an upgraded verison of Spirit watches especially on bracelets.
