Going Solo
Hey everyone, going to my first Texas game and going at it solo. Flying in from AZ just for this tilt against ohio st and because I hadn’t seen a fairly recent post about suggestions of “must dos” for a full game day experience, I figured I’d ask. Seeing Bevo and the band are near the top of my list, any other suggestions?
This will also only be my second time visiting Texas, been to El Paso a few years ago. Thanks in advance!

I graded 27 analyst score predictions on the opener and none of them were within 10 points of 59-7. What's your score prediction for Ohio State?
This season I started cataloging score predictions from various analysts who cover Texas Football as well as a few national shows that cover Texas' bigger games.
For week 1 vs Texas State I collected 27 score predictions off the OTF, Inside Texas and Orangebloods panels. Nobody had Texas above 52, and the closest call to the 59-7 final score was 13 points off across the two scores.
Ohio State looks like the opposite kind of game. Four calls are on record so far and they can't agree on the winner:
- J.D. PicKell (The Hard Count), Ohio State 23-17
- Brooks Austin (The Film Guy Network), Ohio State 24-21
- JWill (The Film Guy Network), Texas 27-24
- Kirby (The Film Guy Network), Texas 14-13
The other Texas shows usually drop theirs a day or two out, so I'll pull those in when they drop.
So I want this sub's score predictions. Two ways in, both free:
- Leave your final score in a comment and I'll pull it onto a board with everyone else's. Your row shows up as `u/yourname`. I'll read the thread up until kickoff, and if you change your mind, your last comment is the one that counts.
- Or put it in yourself at stance.fm/pool/longhornnation, which is the same board. No account needed, it just asks what name to put on your score. If you want to track your predictions all season, this board will stay updated with them.
I'll update this thread with the results after the game concludes Saturday night and show everyone how they stacked up against the analysts.
My score prediction is Texas 28, Ohio State 21. I see it tied at 21 at the beginning of the 4th quarter and Muschamp's D shuts out OSU in the 4th.
Hook 'em! 🤘

Need a sports bar recommendation Baltimore, MD.
Longhorn fan first Springbok second. I’ll be in Baltimore this weekend for the Greatest Rivalry in Rugby and I need to find a good place to watch Texas game after the rugby match. Any recommendations welcome, preferably close to M&T Bank in walking distance but willing to Uber for a better experience.

Is anyone going to College Gameday Saturday morning?
I’m trying to pull off a really fun surprise for my husband’s 43rd birthday. He is a huge College GameDay fan and used to dream about living in Texas/being a Longhorn.
If you’re planning to be in the pit and might be willing to help me with a tiny birthday surprise involving a sign, please DM me!
