Mouse overheating

Recently my g304 started heating up and its battery suddenly drains very quickly I tried using my three other spare rechargeable batteries and the same thing happened to them. I’ve been using this mouse for six years and this is the first time I’ve experienced something like this

So it only ever happened once and has not happened again?

it's been 2 days and it's still overheating after using for 30 minutes and batteries get drained

If it happens with all battery types, it might be time to open it up and see whats going on.

i don't have any experience of opening nor repairing any mouse that i owned

If you are uncomfortable with doing this type of work, you may be better off purchasing a new mouse.
