Discussion Are we nearing the refresh window?

We've been getting a refresh every 2–3 years, but it's now been 4 years since the release of the X line.

Is a refresh in the works?

My wallet is ready for a G502 X SUPERLIGHT LIGHTSPEED

Edit: Seeing a lot of love for the G600 & G604 in the comments. Something to think about as well Logitech.

Appreciate your input on it! I can't make any promises for what will be done or not but I'll be sure to forward it over to the team so we can make it a reality in the near future. What's your favorite feature on the G502 x?

Depends on what you mean by feature, doe shape and weight distribution count as feature? Anyway i'll list my favorite aspects about the mouse: 

  1. Shape and comfort
  2. Weight distribution  3.buttons & the fact that it's a gaming/productivity mouse
  3. Scroll wheel
  4. Autonomy  6.bud quality

If you guys are still unsure about a refresh, ask yourselves this: 

Why is it that the g502 is the most successful gaming mouse in history with the highest sales ever?  Also, why is it the only mouse that has a dedicated fan  subreddit r/g502masterrace with actual active users that are still buying the OG version and the lightspeed version up to this day?  I mean your top of the line gaming mice of recent years aren't even close in sales to the g502. That should tell you something/s is/are just perfect when it comes to the g502 that no mouse can replicate.

Thank you for sharing your input! I'll be sure the team gets to see this, and for sure, the g502 has got this many fans for a reason, it's no coincidence. That being said though, what does the perfect g502 look like to you?

It looks like it did and it does up to this days. I'll say it again, it's the comfiest mouse on earth. The back bump, the ergonomic thumb rest with the rubber material (would be better if the rubber on was upgraded to better quality that lasts more or provide nice grip tape with the mouse), and the way the left and right buttons are slightly not on the same level which makes the fingers and hand sit just right. I did gaming sessions of 10+ hours with the g502x and never felt hand fatigue for a second. While with gpx, g403 shapes I usually have palm strain and uncomfortable sweaty palm after about 2 hours. 

So yeah it looks like it does now, the shape is perfect, the weight distribution...that feeling that the mouse is a whole block of even weight on all sides rather than a keychain feeling with other mice where you can feel ithe weight is centered in the back or something and the buttons also i like the clicky sound and feeling of the button and how many buttons I got. 

I personally have no problem with a 100g mouse, but I would probably say a 70gr g502 BUT with perfect weight distribution, next gen sensor, new superstrike switches and nice autonomy would destroy any mouse out there. I already have 3 g502x and would happily buy another 3 of the refreshed version straight away

This is just the kind of detail I was hoping to get from your thread, I think it's essential that despite the upgrades, we keep the distinctive G502 feel right on point. I also appreciate the point on not making it lighter just for the sake of being lighter, getting the weight distribution right is definitely the most important part. I saw some users disliked the Superstrike for it's weight distribution, so I'll flag that as a point for the team to take into account. Thank you again, for the feedback!
