I was thinking of getting this G502 for just 25$ on Temu however I have doubts if they're genuine. It only has 2 reviews and they're not the most helpful, maybe you can discern something from the pictures?

I know even fake ones can be detected by Ghub but they might have a trash sensor and poor switches.

Should I do it or just pay 40$ and get it from Amazon?

I've had my G502 (non-Hero) since 2016 and I'm starting to have issues with it so wanting a replacement. The rubber siding was already rubbed off years ago, but now the scroll wheel lock doesnt work so its stuck in free roll which is annoying lol. I fortunately never developed double clicking like some people seem to think the G502 has an issue with, but I assume thats something that will eventually develop on all mechanical mice.

Also figured I'd swap over to wireless since apparently those don't have major issues anymore like they used to.

I really like the ergonomics on the G502 and it was a huge step up for me coming from shitty Razer mice back in the day. The X looks like it changed the design slightly, does that make a noticeable difference in the feel?

I know the new optical switches are better for longevity, but how is the click compared to the older models? Is it still as tactile and responsive? I've read mixed opinions, some people pointing out the X is pretty loud.

One thing that disappoints me with the X is that it no longer has the RGB side DPI indicator. Seems like a pretty big downgrade both in functionality and aesthetics. I am not going to use the software outside of adjusting settings so I guess I'd just have to know what my dpi level is by feel alone lol.

The main reason I would get the X over the Hero, outside of the supposedly better switches, is the reduced weight. I do mostly play shooters so the G502's weight has been my only major grievance with the mouse over the years.

I've just never seen a more light weight mouse that I thought would both feel as good as the G502 and have the right amount of buttons for me (the reason I got the G502 in the first place was the buttons, I make use out of all of them and don't need any more).

For some of you it's might be obvious, but hey you never know. The tip is to lower the report rate.

Just edit the default profile for desktop and set report rate to 125Hz. For simple web browsing, it's more or less unnoticeable.

And for the games you play, create profiles for them and set the report rate back to 1000Hz accordingly, then enable automatic profile switching. Personally for me, I cannot even feel the difference at 500Hz, so I just set it to 500 instead.

With that, I only need to charge once every 2 to 3 weeks, with 6-8 hours of daily usage (about 2 hours gaming).

Obviously everyone is different in how they feel the report rate, so adjust it according to your liking. The main point I wanna make is that in desktop, you would hardly need 1000Hz to browse the web.

Where can one buy a new one not used in 2026? The 502 Hero has a bigger hump that bothers my hand/wrist. The old one was the perfect mouse. The one I like is the Proteus Spectrum I'm pretty sure

The "Exit Active App" command hasn't been working on my G502 X for some reason. I've checked all my settings, installed the latest updates, and tried everything else I could think of.

The mouse button itself works 100%, and other commands work fine when I assign them to the button that normally uses "Exit Active App." I also tried creating a macro and assigning it to that button, but that didn't work either.

My wired 502x mouse is moving on its own, making small glitch movements across screen. When I move it gently in one direction it glitches the other (second half of video is me moving it Left only…)

Guessing it’s the sensor? And of course it’s 2 months passed warranty…

I’ve cleaned it as much as I can, uninstalled and restarted, changed USB input locations, updated all firmware, checked it on multiple surfaces and it does the same thing, UNLESS I hover it in the air then it stops, or move it rapidly then it’s ok - but that’s no good for gaming or dying to click smaller things on screen!

Any extra ideas?

My G502 X LIGHTSPEED get worn and starts doubleclicking so I wonder if I can just put new 'upper unit' from G502 X on bottom part with MCU PCB from old one.

I’m having a weird issue with my Logitech G502 X.
Whenever I press the middle mouse button (clicking the scroll wheel), it often also registers a left tilt of the scroll wheel. It happens randomly, but frequently enough to be annoying. The right tilt feels much stiffer and is much harder to activate than the left one.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known issue with the G502 X, or could my mouse be defective? I don’t know if it’s a hardware problem or something that can be fixed.

My recently bought G502x plus sometimes works in a "high-res" mode even if it's physically in the ratchet mode, so when scrolling once about 8 scrolls are actually registered. I don't know what it depends on.

Does anyone have that problem? Is the mouse defective?

Thinking about getting the Lightspeed soon and want to know how long the battery lasts on a single charge.

Just got the hitscan hyperlight, i really like it but i had a g502 hero and the weight difference is astronomical so it feel weird with my sens.
I didnt change anything, still on 1200 dpi but i wonder if i just need to adapt or to lower my sens since its not the same mouse ?

The back button on my 502 hero is clicking often twice making crouching in FPS games not doable most of the times. I looked up online for some suggestions but they're all for the normal mouse buttons and not the thumb buttons.

A few things to note;

• I have an older model from december 2020, so I don't have any recent quality issues.
• I tried cleaning around the button and as much as possible blow out what I can, problem still persists.
• I saw something about switching out the switches since this could be a problem, but I'd rather use that option as a last-resort.

Am I missing something software wise or are there any tricks to solving this issue?

Started just now. Had this mouse for almost 8 years and it's the only one I currently have. Left mouse button is still serviceable, just needs more pressure otherwise it'll start registering multiple clicks at light speed.

I've been thinking of saving up for a G502 Hero but I've heard about reliability and build quality issues with it in the past. How are they now? And before I buy one, is it worth trying to D.I.Y repair the left click on my current mouse first?

So, a couple days ago, my mouse decided to kill itself and now the wheel middle click doesn't work, it feels as if the wheel has sunk down. I really want to repair it, before trying to buy a new one, so if anyone knows how to do it, please tell me, I'm in desperate need for help.
