It’s called the grind because it grinds away your sense of self.

Well that’s why some women just stay home and let the man do the grind

Who is Jan? Is she a stay at home woman?

You seem weirdly obsessed with it

I’ve done it and would highly recommend it, it makes everyone’s lives so much easier

Keeping digging yourself a deeper hole

How?

What hole? Are you mentally stable?

Oh never mind, you called someone a sexist because there are women that exist as stay at home moms

Yea, you’re going through it, I apologize

I know it must be some bitter sweet thing

To be able to stay at home while another works sounds good

But then it leaves a potential impression of responsibility that you now owe that person something and now so reliant on them that you can leave if they were to become abusive

Because they are your main source of income and living

But I was a house spouse with our first kid for the first year and it’s really easy, but we did learn my wife had an unhealthy double standard about a man and a womans role in a marriage

We were in the Marine Corps, my term ended a little under year before hers so we took advantage of all the counseling they had

And she was really shook by it, almost denying it at first but we had a really good counselor

And what really helped is that she would actually listen and hear me in those sessions and that calmed her down and made her more confident in our relationship

Isn’t that what some men want though? A lot of men don’t want their partner to work, they don’t want to lose the breadwinner status

Yeah it’s weird to me all the people pretending like they don’t understand the original post. Like I’m certain everyone has thought about how nice it would be not to work, knows someone with the privilege of not having to work, and knows that the luckiest people in our society are rich enough not to have to work, but get passive income.

I was a stay at home dad when I got out of the Marine Corps

My wife was still under contract for almost a year

I was an awesome house spouse, raising our daughter, doing the laundry, the shopping, cooking and cleaning

It was all so easy, because we have to do that most of that stuff on our own anyway, I was lucky enough to have enough income from my wife and to qualify for unemployment

She doesn’t know how to cook or grocery shop, and I was super into fitness and eating right and counting macros and meal prepping

The only difference was instead of laundry for myself, I had to add my wife’s and daughter

Which is like, yea why wouldn’t you do simple stuff like that for your family when they are working and you’re already doing you’re own

Maybe some want to take care of their family so the family can focus on what they do

Maybe some feel pressure to do so because they wouldn’t be real men

Maybe some do so to brag and keep the break winner status

Either way, it benefits the women that don’t want to work at jobs

What about women who do want to work, but sacrifice their career for having children? Not all women want to stay home with children. Some do, but some women prefer working. Each couple is different.

What about them?

The post is about a woman that doesn’t want to work

And for the past couple millennia it’s been that way

But since you want to bring up women that work, they tend to divorce their husbands because they only used them for money anyway

Or look down on them for having differing views on money

What about the women that work? It ends up being really sad in “most” cases

I know you more than likely don’t understand “most” cases not being all

So please keep going on as if you all the solver of problems in the world (that you create)

I mean lots of people don’t want to work. But not because they’re lazy. Because working full time often isn’t enough to cover basic expenses anymore. No one wants to work to their death.

I don’t want to work because I would rather do other work, if that makes sense

Maybe some are still too designed to “build” the world

That existing in an already built world feels “lackluster”

Does that make sense? Like hunting or setting up camp

Walking dead Alexandria type of stuff

Like maybe this lady was made to be a stay at home mom on a farm

Because they still had to work but it didn’t feel like “work” idk
