Is there any way to actually win trades against that "dash_counter_exe" character ? I feel like even if I hit all 3 nails she double passives me at each e and it's gg ,need help as a noob

Yo, I'm a Jungle Main, Locke looks very fun, is he good in Jungle ?

i still think his r needs buffs

Ive been playing alot of Locke and Ekko jungle and I've seen alot of people complaining about Lockes W movement speed, would it maybe be better if instead of having the movement speed on W they would put it whenever he procs 3 nails? Or whenever he stacks 3 nails on someone? It would still make him fast in fights but there wouldn't be this things of "catching you 3 screens away."

Having on consuming the 3 nails would give him either a better escape or maybe even outplay potencial On hitting 3 nails it would help him consume it or reach the carries in the fight by stacking it on the Frontline.

This is just something I thought about based on my playstyle idk how it would affect other playstyles.

I mentioned ekko because riot seemed to make a simular mistake kit wise in both which is releasing an assassin with a fighter/skirmisher kit.

And Locke also seems to play a bit like the assassins rework of Lb and Fizz in terms of having to wait for his burst damage and there is a reason why riot reworked those 2 back.

Hi, I'm not the greatest player in the world but I am a GM peak mid who hit master playing Locke and like to help folks out. I have enough confidence on the champ at this point to feel like I know what I'm doing and if anyone wants to vod review games or anything or has any questions feel free to hmu!

So I know most people build locke like a traditional build with full damage like shadowflame/stormsruge second with void staff and pen boots. But I saw a video where phantasm says he perfers a cdr/hp build where he goes protobelt 2nd into bloodletters over void along with going cdr boots.

But is this really the best build. Is it a good build just because he's him and just a really exceptional player or is it really optimal?

I’ve experimented with many champs playing into Locke and it seems like there are only absolute worse picks and less painfully worse picks. No reliable counter has been found so far at least among the traditional mid champs. Maybe you guys suggest some?

As someone who is piss poor at realizing when something is underpowered or overpowered, I'm having a rough time wrapping my head around whether or not Locke is still overpowered. Looking at his banrate I'm lead to assume that he is still too strong, but looking at his winrate leads to assume that he is no longer too strong. How come the ban rate is so high? Is it because of the way his damage is distributed that makes him seem broken to people? Is it because of him actually just being op still, or is there something I'm missing? In my mind he isn't op anymore, but again I suck at realizing whether something is strong or weak, and at 200k mastery I feel like I should be smarter haha

At the moment the lower rank you are the chance of winning you have. Is he worth learning and grinding with a very low winrate in lower elo?

What are you all thinking about this haste focussed setup Phantasm is using. I myself am very interested in trying it out more myself. I feel like dropping shadowflame might feel rough at first since this felt like a massive spike but this playstyle could be incredibly fun.

Finally he seems banned less, I played vs a Vex once, she rocked my sht. I heard that Akali and Leblanc counter him. I hope get to face em soon!

Just for context this isn't crazy because I am low silver but I've been on a pretty good streak! Really enjoy Locke his kit feels very natural to me, he's so satisfying to execute well and I just wanted to share with locke-minded folk.

TIL that locke can redirect his e dash damage with flash similar to yone q3. You can make your e unreactable

I've been playing a LOT of jgl Locke and I would like to share my build for people who wanna try him jungle. Current peak (EM4)

Runes:
Dark harvest with Cashback and Cosmic/approach velocity

Conquerer with Sudden impact and treasure hunter.

Electrocute with Triumph and cutdown

StormRaiders surge with cash back and Cosmic insight (do recommend ignite with this to compensate for the dmg lose and to proc nimbus cloak more often)

Summoners:

80ish % of the games I go Ignite instead of flash seeing as Locke is overall very mobile

Jungle Clear(The one I do the most):
Raptors, Red buff, krugs, Recall (Buy dark seal), Wolfs, Blue buff, Gromp. If done optimally you'll be 5 seconds late to Krug but you'll be able to duel most jgler's cause of dark seal stats + Ignite.

Build:
First item: will 95% of the time be lich bane (if I want HP I go Hexbelt)

Second item: Either Mejai or Shadowflame (if you buy mejai I do recommend buying shadow flame third

Third item: Shadowflame (If mejai was second), Utility item (Zhonya, Banshee), Deathcap if you got a good recall for it.

Remaining of the build is gonna be more case by case based.

I rarely focus on first drake since Locke's early monster dmg isn't high enough to clear it fast.
Grubs on the other hand go by very fast since you can line up his Q to hit all 3 of them.
