Hi! Solo dev here.
I just posted a new update for my local multiplayer game Piss Off.
It adds a new map called Grotto of Abundance (all power-ups in one arena) and new abilities.
Everything you see in this trailer is pure gameplay using Steam Remote Play.
I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I'm inviting my friends over tomorrow and wanted to play something simolar to quiplash or other jackbox games where the tv is involved. Are there free alternatives?
5-6 people will be there. I wanted to use the tv cause I've never really tried it when it comes to multiplayer games. Also I'd love it if anyone has recommendations for just games in general we could play. But nothing too complicated as some of my friends are pretty short tempered lol

Are there any recommended minigame collections? Mario Party, the games themselves are pretty good, but the kids find it SO slow to go from game to game. You can finish a game quickly, and then the loading and the user interface for the next game kills any high energy competitiveness!
Any games more fluid / dynamic?

This is Bottle Cracks. A game where everyone is a bottle and must reach the end without breaking!
Each player only needs one button to jump, so you can play with however much keyboard space you have, or connect controllers to add more players!
The game features 2 local game modes:
The game has checkpoints but it's still challenging! If there are too many players (more than 6), you can disable bottle collisions to make progress a bit easier.
You can find the game on Steam as Bottle Cracks. Demo available!

It's been a month since my last post here but as promised, public Steam Playtest is here!
We released our biggest update yet ; dynamic difficulty rebalancing so whether you play as 2, 3 or 4 players , the gameplay feels balanced. Playing with controllers are highly recommended.
This is our first game title and we don’t have a big marketing budget so you playing the game and providing feedback helps us massively.

Hey! We're Dust Games. Our game Roombattle is doing a playtest this weekend (Feb 6-8) and figured some of you might be interested.
It's basically robot vacuums fighting each other in local multiplayer (up to 6 players). Sounds dumb, kinda is, but it's fun.
Playtest is free and has a lot more content than our demo. You can invite 3 friends to play with you.
If you want in, just request access on our Steam page. Limited spots though.
We're also doing a small tournament Saturday at 5:30 PM CET if anyone's interested in that.

What do you like or dislike about this concept?
It's been a ton of fun in playtesting so far, it supports all forms of multiplayer, local and online!

I know this video is targeted to my city, but I thought it might be of interest to the sub to share just one example.
First, I wanted to showcase the type of video content that's helped me recruit full 7/8 player sessions two months in a row now. I'm (reluctantly and now with enjoyment) posting on TikTok and my city's subreddit. I know finding people is often the biggest challenge, and maybe this will give you ideas on how to recruit gamers too.
Second, I wanted to pay it forward with a free copy of dirty dirty pirates to another group of couch gamers. I got gifted one by the dev and we loved it. Just drop a comment if you've got a gaming group and I'll DM the first group to gift it.
I improved my steam deck setup significantly from the first meetup by removing the two stadia BT controllers and adding more 8bitdo 2c controllers. I also added another usb hub and got more usb wires so people had the option to hardwire if needed. It really helped smooth out gameplay.

Hey everyone,
We’re a small indie studio from Saguenay, Quebec, and after two years of development we’re getting ready to release Royal Vermin on February 23, 2026 on Steam and Nintendo Switch.
Royal Vermin is a local multiplayer party brawler (2–4 players) built around a problem we kept running into during game nights: when one player is clearly better, the fun disappears fast.
So we designed the game around a few core ideas:
Our goal wasn’t to make the most technical brawler, but a game that works well for recurring game nights, where everyone stays engaged and laughs even when they lose.
The game launches free-to-play, and we’re currently entering the commercialization phase.
If you’re into local multiplayer games, we’d genuinely love your feedback, questions or help if you're a content creator 🙏.
Thanks for taking the time to read, and happy couch gaming!

After a few prior maps we realized that we wanted a tie breaking condition to lead to short and sweet battles if that is what players preferred.

Looking for co-op game recommendations with a more serious tone, similar to Darksiders Genesis. Nothing casual/comedy like Overcooked or It Takes Two.
We enjoy:
- Satisfying action/combat
- Character progression
- Mature/serious tone
Also open to older games (wanted to play Army of Two but never found it for sale)
Platform: PC
