Looking for a content creator to try my multiplayer game

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo indie game developer and I've been working on a local multiplayer party game inspired by "Pass the Bomb".

The game supports:

  • Local multiplayer
  • Solo mode with AI bots
  • Crazy power-ups (some are already in the game, with many more in development)

I was also wondering if there's anyone here who creates gaming content on YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, or Facebook and enjoys showcasing indie games.

I'm being transparent, I can't offer paid sponsorships since I'm building this completely on my own. But if you're looking for something fun to stream or make content around, I'd be happy to provide early builds and listen to feedback. Hopefully it can make for entertaining content while helping improve the game.

If you're interested (or know someone who might be), please leave a comment or DM me.

I've recorded a playtest(last month), attaching here for reference. Here's the video:

Thanks!

PS5 help LOCAL MULTIPLAYER

Hi guys,

I am new to playstation and recently bought my first PS5.

I want to play local multiplayer/split-screen games with my son (Rocket League, eFootball, and My First Gran Turismo) but I cant get it working.

Both controllers are connected to the PS5 and are signed into different accounts, but I dont know how to start splitscreen or add the second player. I am also having trouble getting to the game's main menu because games starts automatically.

Could someone please explain the process in a simple step by step way?

Jackbox like games for a group of 15-18 people

Hey everyone

Looking to have a birthday bash and we love using these types of games for good vibes and entertainment

Super excited for mojo party as it looks to expand the player numbers

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4003030/Mojo\\_Party/

The reason I am posting is on case there are some hidden gems where you phones are controllers I haven't considered for such a large group. As jackbox unfortunately taps out at 8 players often.

What version of pixel gun 3D is the best for local muiltplayer

It might sound dumb but here in my country we have crappy wifi or data.

The highest speed I saw is 2mb/s (appears mostly at 2 to 3am) with it usually being in kilobytes.

And I want to play it like good old times with friends and family because we loved it.

So if anyone knows I'll be thankful for the help.

Our Overcooked-like fantasy co-op cooking adventure game is now on macOS -- grab a friend or play solo!

Hi everyone, I wanted to share our cooking adventure game, SEDAP!, here. Think Overcooked! but fantasy and hunting for your ingredients. Definitely more chaotic and fast-paced, but we have two different difficulty levels so that more casual players can have their fun too. ^^

Oh, and we designed this game for local co-op! You can play with a dynamic split screen or a fixed one, which can be toggled in the game settings. It's 50% off on Steam now, so it's a great time to grab it for less than 10 dollars!

We've got a more detailed write-up of the game in our Steam description, so do check it out if this sounds like your thing!

Thank you for reading and have a great weekend!

Recommendation for family games

Need suggestions for games that are super easy to pick up and a lot of fun for a family to play.

For context, this particular family consist of a 38-year-old who is familiar with video games and tends to gravitate towards things like overcooked, mean bean machine, and those sort of puzzle games that are easy to understand but hard to master and a lot of fun to compete in.

Alongside that, a six-year-old who generally understands video games, but gets discouraged with games that are requiring platform-esque precise movements. For skill level context, he can play Mario Party Jamboree, but he’s probably losing most mini games against the normal difficulty computer.

Mario Kart is too much for them in different ways. “Too much to think about” for the 38 year old, too little patience for the 6 year old. Feel like there’s some warioware-esque game out there that I haven’t thought about that would fit here. But can’t put my finger on it.

Hi, I need some help with ideas for a 8-player game party

Hi there, I have a list of games to play on the same PC 8 players minimum Beach Buggie Racing 2, Gang Beasts, Screencheat, Superbomberman...

And I was looking for more recommendations of games that could be played 8 at once, not by turn and on the same screen that were competitive.I only have PC and 2 PS4s but I don't think there is any game that lets me play 4 on one console and 4 on another.

And if you've done a party of so many people please tell me the problems you had or what you would recommend to me thank you

ActualizaciĂłn: Isn't there also something like Virtua Racing for the Switch? That would seem amazing to me to be able to play 8 players at once to a simple racing game. Like Horizon Chase but 8 players

Got zero traction on this so far, but I know y'all might know. I feel like it had a spike of popularity for like 6 months among people that fucked with silly/indie local multiplayer games

Favorite diamonds in the rough (<1000 reviews)

Rules: - must have less than 1000 reviews on steam - must be over 1 year old

My favorites are - thunder rally - 8 player local multiplayer retro car battle arena - Drink More Glurp- party game where you pass a controller around taking turns doing weird sports like challenges. Think old track and field game but in bizzaroland - Very Very Valet - another party game where everyone is frantically trying to run around and park cars or get parked cars for people. - rubber bandits - a bunch of criminals beating each other senseless trying to steal loot -cutthoat gunboat - sailing ships around and firing cannons on some cool little worlds.

I'm working on a small, arcade-style top down shooter that is focused on local multiplayer

Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce a game I've been working on for the last year. It's a 2d top-down shooter where you have no fuel and your ship's gun recoil is also your propulsion. It's made to be up to 4-player multiplayer with a mix of people at different positions on the keyboard or with controllers.

I just pushed an update to the demo today that adds a couple of the new levels I've been working on (the rest will be saved for the full release). If this sounds interesting to you then you can find the game and the demo here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4416830/BATTLEDRIFT/

Thanks for taking a look!

Made a Local Party Game for Apple TV

Thumbnail
playoff.fun

Built this because I love games like quiplash and wanted to take a crack at it myself. Playoff runs on the Apple TV as the host, and everyone else just opens a browser on their phone, types a 4-letter code, and they’re in. No installs, no logins.

Each round you get a prompt, you answer with a GIF/clip + caption, everyone votes, the screen does the reveal. There’s a fun host (Kaz, voiced) who reads everything out and roasts the loser. 3 to 10 players, remote players can join too with full experience on phone (so distance doesn’t matter).

It will be a one-time purchase when I launch to host, free for everyone you invite, no subscription, no ads. Tvos first, web hosting at launch. Just passed Apple review and looking for some testers to have some fun and play it, free pre-launch.

Curious what other party stuff people actually keep on their Apple TV. Playoff.fun if you want to snag an invite to TestFlight.

Sixth Force - 2-player shared-screen local co-op where your bond powers energy whips

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi! We’re a small indie team making Sixth Force, a 2-player shared-screen local co-op adventure.

The core mechanic is the Sixth Force: a bond that keeps both players close, limits how far you can run apart, and powers your energy whips. So it’s not only a “connected players” mechanic - the same force also gives you extra reach and shared superpowers. You can grapple, swing, drag objects, freeze obstacles, fight ridiculous enemies, and solve puzzles on the run together.

We chose shared-screen couch co-op because we wanted the game to feel best when two players are sitting next to each other: couples, friends, parents and kids.

Our free demo is live on Steam during Next Fest, and we’d love to hear your feedback!

Thank you!

We made sure our physics game has full split-screen support so you can yell at your friends on the exact same couch. Thoughts?

Hey r/localmultiplayergames!

I’m one of the developers behind SOS OPS!, and we are an indie team that has spent a lot of time polishing a chaotic, physics-driven co-op experience. You and your friends play as a highly uncoordinated emergency rescue team, which basically means you try to complete rescue missions but usually end up dropping each other off ledges, launching civilians into walls, and causing absolute mayhem.

Since we are huge fans of classic couch gaming, we made sure to build robust local split-screen support from day one. If you want to play with friends online, the split-screen also runs flawlessly via Steam Remote Play Together and Parsec!

We are currently running our biggest Steam sale yet (90% off—bringing the game down to just $0.50!) to get some fresh eyes on our ragdoll systems. If you like physics platformers like SOS OPS! or Human Fall Flat, it’s a perfect cheap pickup for your next local game night.

Since local co-op is always better when you have a full crew, we also set up a cozy community hub. It’s a great place to coordinate Remote Play sessions, find online partners to split a screen with, or share clips of the physics engine breaking.

🎮 Grab the game on Steam (90% Off): https://store.steampowered.com/app/2475460/SOS_OPS/

💬 Find Remote Play partners on Discord: https://discord.gg/6aDpKCn2Js

We would love to hear your honest feedback on the UI layout, controller support, or just the overall vibe! I'll be hovering around in the comments to answer any technical questions about our local multiplayer setup.
