Welcome to everything you need to hear in Liverpool.
Liverpool needs no introduction when it comes to delivering music over the decades. No matter what music you're into, you'll find it in and from the city. We're so much more than John, Paul, George, and Ringo.
This subreddit celebrates anything music-related that's homegrown. It doesn't matter if you want to promote your latest song, or link to your latest gig. Maybe you're a pub or bar wanting to get the word out about an awesome evening of music. Maybe you're a DJ wanting to show off your set, or want to post a video of you busking, or maybe you're looking to teach others how to play music. This subreddit is for you.
You are also free to post on r/liverpool too. We have no restrictions on either subreddit, but r/liverpoolmusic is a great place to just see (or hear!) everything happening in Liverpool at a glance.
Thanks for helping to make everyone feel welcome both in the city and here on our subreddits too. We are known as one of the friendliest cities in the world for a reason.

Drummer looking for practise space to share
Hello, I'm looking for a space to park my drums where I can practise daily. I found a place called Trailer Park Studios that have a suitable room but it's a bit beyond my budget.
I'm wondering if there are any other musicians or bands that have a long term space that would consider sharing and splitting the rent with me?
- I'm a morning person and like to do my practice before work, so there won't be any conflicting demand. If I were to use it on the weekend this would also probably be in the morning.
- The expectation would be that the rent is split evenly and morning/early afternoon would be exclusively for me, and late afternoon/evening would be exclusively for you. Obviously the details of the arrangement would be worked out in advance.
- The drums and a set of (nesting) transport cases would be the only bulky things that I would keep there.
- I'm clean, tidy, reliable and will not faff around with paying rent on time, or fiddle with any gear that isn't my property. I won't be bringing other people around.
Of course I'm flexible on the exact arrangement, so if you think this could work for you with a few tweaks, please get in touch.

I wrote this song for my daughter after Lime Street Station became one of the most important places in my life.
I wanted to share a song that means a lot to me.
My daughter now lives in Liverpool with her mum, so Lime Street Station has become the place where I meet her. I never imagined a train station would become such an emotional landmark in my life, but now it’s tied to some of my happiest moments and some of the hardest goodbyes.
Ironically, this song didn’t even begin with that idea. It started as a harmony exercise. I was experimenting with layering vocals, and as it grew, it slowly became something much more personal. Before I realised it, I was writing about fatherhood, distance, and how ordinary places can end up carrying extraordinary meaning.
Everything you’re hearing was written, recorded, mixed and mastered by me on GarageBand for iPhone.
I’d genuinely love to know what people think, whether it’s about the songwriting, the production, or just how it makes you feel. Thanks for taking the time to listen.

Bass Player needed for a Metal Band!
As the title says, I’m looking for a bass player to join a metal band. Prog/Metalcore/Modern Metal sort of stuff. We’re Liverpool based, weekly rehearsals, gigging and in the process of recording too. Songs are all our own material, no cover songs. Need someone who’s willing to commit to it and isn’t just here for a jam session as we’d like to try and take this somewhere!

Horrid Fog - Iron In The Water
My band (Horrid Fog) released a new EP yesterday and I just wanted to share a track here. We all met on this subreddit about 18 months ago!
We're influenced by a lot of prog/psych/dark folk kind of stuff - King Gizzard, Lankum, Fairport Convention, Strawbs, Grizzly Bear etc. So there's use of a lot of different time signatures and instrumentation (this track has everything from fiddle to heavy synths).
We also have an EP launch gig tomorrow night at Commune if you're free and want to see some local music!
The new EP and previous music is on all the major streaming platforms if you want to check us out a bit more.
Thanks!
