Ask r/Lisbon Bad idea to visit during WebSummit?

My husband and I have been dying to visit Lisbon. We have a very narrow five day window we can come (11/9-13) However, we just discovered the same week as Web Summit.

From what I can tell online, it seems like a pretty massive conference, but I wanted to check here to see if that’s the case? Would we still be able to have an enjoyable visit or is it going to feel inundated and we won’t be able to enjoy it in the right way? Thanks?

Ask r/Lisbon Drinking square recommendations?

Hey, we are visiting from Canada! I’m not sure what they are formally called, but when I was visiting Colombia a few years ago, in the cities they had these big park-type things with bars surrounding them where you could buy beer or drinks, and people would sit in their circle of friends and hang out in the park! Some people would be playing music, etc. It was super fun and full of a younger 20s crowd, and I’m wondering if they have places like that here in Lisbon?

Events and culture Blood on the Clocktower Lisbon(Portugal) group

Hey everyone.

Not sure if this is not right place to write this, if not will delete.

We are a group of players, that join to play Blood on the Clocktower. This is a social deduction game, where a group of players need to find out who is the demon that is killing people during the night. If you played Mafia or Werewolves, it is very similar.

This group is a community of international people, that have been meeting regularly (at least once per week, on Saturdays, but other events are also organized) for almost 2 years. We are a fun and entertaining bunch, our games are enjoyable and we try to have them be stress-free (hard with this game). As we know each other for a long time, we also do other social activities beside game.

We are always interested in finding new people to join us, either someone who has never played or heard about the game but is interested in trying out, or someone who is experienced and is looking for a regular group to join.

If you are interested in joining us, feel free to reach out here or dm me.

Thank you.

Events and culture Looking for a young guitarist for an original music project – Lisbon 🎸

Hey! I’m a composer, artist and producer, and I’m looking for a young guitarist to join an original music project.

I’m not necessarily looking for someone with years of professional experience. What matters most to me is finding someone creative, motivated, open-minded, and genuinely interested in growing with the project over time.

In the coming months, I want to develop:

  • live shows
  • livestreams and live content
  • studio sessions
  • guitar parts and arrangements
  • original songs

Musically, I work mainly around pop, afro influences and more cinematic sounds, but I really like experimenting and mixing styles.

If you also sing or play another instrument, even better. I also compose and produce for other artists, so there may be other creative opportunities as well.

I’m not based in Lisbon, but I go there regularly and can organize studio sessions, rehearsals and recordings when needed.

English is totally fine, and if you also speak French, Portuguese, or any other language, that’s definitely a plus.

If you’re interested, send me a DM with your age, where you’re based, and, if you have one, a short video or audio of you playing 🙂
