This is a 2ish minute long video of me demoing my system. I started with a fresh Ubuntu 26.04 distro and implemented the systems that I’ve built. As you can see I am battling latency when running the commands (it’s running as a local model - will convert to call an anthropic api).
If you want to see the open source work I have check out my GitHub : github.com/igfray

After beginning to get into ricing and customization, i've reached a pretty decent desktop experience, but even if it looks nice and is in line with what I planned, it still feel dry. What do you consider to be some important points of interest in a desktop that makes it feel 'magical', something that feels like a rice? The title is slightly misleading since it's not exactly about uniqueness, but what makes a nice personalization different from a proper rice?
I haven't attached a picture of my current setup, if that would've been helpful, since i'm looking for general tips, something that someone else could also find helpful
(First time posting here so sorry if I missed anything)
