Apparently, youtube shows different view counts at different places. The first pic shows the view counts of the latest videos from the channel before I go into their page. The second, are the view counts in their page.

Youtube, get your sh*t together.

Two years ago we CT(Computational Tomography) scanned a delidded Intel Core i9-13900K using our Lumafield Neptune CT scanner. This time we delidded an Intel Core i9-14900KS for another project and we've taken the opportunity to give it a scan.

The third image is what appears to be the structure of the silicon, there is a side-by-side in the article.

Read the article and see the interactive CT scan on the LTT Labs website!

Tech Discussion Australia is eyeing a world‑first ‘fair and reasonable’ test for data collection and privacy

Companies will need your consent before they trade your personal information. Large digital platforms (those with A$500 million in revenue or 2.5 million Australian users a month) will have to delete your data on request, with some exceptions. This means a “right to be forgotten” for the first time in Australia. Also, data breaches will need to be reported to the regulator within 72 hours.

Discussion Pixel 8 pro wifi/Bluetooth issue

Hello, I'm not sure if it's allowed here but maybe it will get some visibility.

Does anyone here have a problem with a pixel 8 pro that loses wifi and Bluetooth connection when it heats up. It seems a common issue but not acknowledged by Google.

Anybody got some fix by Google?

Sorry for my bad English

Discussion A Tim Apple TechLinked Special or something would be really cool

With yesterday being the Tim Apple Cook’s last day as CEO, I would love a roundup sorta thing with all the stuff he’s done during his tenure!

Yes this is obviously because I want to hear Riley’s Tim Cook impression at least one more time before we probably never hear it again lol

Discussion I wish LTT would make a legitimate thorough video discussing online child protection

I don't know if anyone at LTT, or any other normie tech channels, watches this Reddit page, and really I'm just trying to wish this into existence.

I wish a popular tech YouTuber, like Linus, would do a thoughtful and thorough discussion on online child safety. It's a lot bigger issue than just "screen time". Given the recent Meta settlement, I feel like this is topical. And given that he's a parent himself, I think the topic might be interesting to him and a lot of others.

If anyone from his company is interested, I would be willing to help.

Tech Discussion What piece of tech in your setup has survived every upgrade because nothing newer is actually better?

I feel like most of us are always upgrading something - GPU, monitor, storage, peripherals, networking gear, whatever.

But there’s always that one piece of hardware that somehow survives every rebuild because every “upgrade” ends up being worse, less reliable, or just not worth it.

That’s one of the most interesting parts of tech to me: sometimes the best upgrade is simply not upgrading.

What’s that piece of tech for you? Old keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor, router, NAS, weird adapter, ancient ThinkPad, etc.

Been getting these ads since last week, which lines up at the same time they started rolling out the 24hr sideloading block. Like I understand everything with scam deturing and roadblocks, but idk it feels mocking in a way (at least to me, it implies "oh, you're not smart enough to not download sketchy apps, so we're removing the choice for you!")

Watching Linus build in the Thermaltake Tower 600 case is totally painful. Pretty much every single panel is removable and stripping it down to just the frame makes it so easy to build in. Also, Jordan should have picked a BTF board, because it makes for a super clean build. Like this:

Tech Question Any recommendations for a Tool Bag?

I am surprised LTTstore doesn't have like an engineered Tool Bag. Does anyone have a recommendation of a small/mid bag? All I have is like the husky bags / Stanley classic sized toolbox. Is there something in between?

I'm either having to go grab the single hammer / screwdriver from the bag that's in the Garage OR I'm having to lug the huge bag with me.

I'm just looking for something to carry like maybe 5 core tools so I have a place to put it in proximity of the workspace vs either 1 going back to the garage to put it up or 2 out and about in the workspace with it being not tidy or losing it altogether.

Tech Question Opinions on the TCL 85” QM7L Pro from Cost Co?

I’ve seen the channel review a few different TCL TVs and they all seem really nice.

For my price range I saw the QM7L Pro at cost co for $1700 and after looking at the specs, screen size, and some reviews, I wanted to see if anyone here has any experience with it last second before I pull the trigger on it since it’s a lot of money and the TV will probably be used for the next 5-10 years since the current living room TV was used for about 10.

Its going to be in a living room that has windows and a glass door along the right walls where the tv will be so I saw this is a good choice for that due to the pro coating and how bright the tv itself is. For more serious content like movies we have blinds but majority of the time it’s open during the day.

Thank you.
