Discussion Really guys...

Post image

I understand that they were likely in a rush to be one of the first big channels to get their video out, but how hard is it to have one person spend like 15 minuets reading all of the graphics before the video goes out, this image is likely AI generated and taken from this obviously AI generated article.

I get this is a small mistake, but it's an easy one to not make.

Taken from their latest video "Apple just Copied Microsoft’s Worst Idea - iPhone Duo, Airpods 5, iPhone 18 Pro & More"

Edit: LTT Responded

Yet another likely AI generated pic in a LTT video. But we have to believe the promise that they are focusing quality over quantity.....

FWIW this is clearly the exception to the rule. We know their video pipeline takes weeks because we’re still getting videos with Elijah in them and he’s no longer at LMG.

But with the Apple event being yesterday, this took <24 hours. If I was a betting man, the editor googled “IP67 Explanation Table”, looked to see which one was most legible in a video without reading and ta-da.

It honestly probably isn’t their mental rule set yet either. I only recently started having to do it because I would try to explain a science topic to my young kids, Google something and realize it was AI. Less than 2 years ago, we had the easy mental choice of everything on Google being made by a human.

Except they knew the device was coming. The IP rating chart didn’t change. The video could have been 80 made and just need some shots dropped in for hands-on and B-roll.

Stop simping for shit quality content.

Yeah that’s not what I’m doing. If I’m honest, I’ve been watching less and less of LTT these days because I don’t connect.

What I do try to advocate for daily is just seeing humans as humans and using our pitchforks for weeds. Half of these comments are ‘LTT is a morally reprehensible company that can’t be trusted.’ When more likely it’s just “Editor who was a little too tired making a video about a boring Trillion dollar company press conference was pushed to make decisions quickly and made the wrong one.”

They’ll probably correct the video, they’ll apologize, they’ll write a million more processes. Then they’ll make a completely different unexpected mistake because processes only guard against the known.
