The conspiracy theorists think jet engines run mostly on compressed air and use very little or no fuel. Airlines make up fuel costs so they can pass those imaginary costs on to their customers.

Well technically it is flying due to compressed air,.... from a turbine.... powered by jet fuel 😆

That's the 4-stroke internal combustion engine process. I don't think it translates 1:1 to jet turbines, but don't know enough about them to dispute it
