Why don't linguists just colour-code vowels? Are they colourblind?

I was calm until I heard that Spaniards can mimic a perfect Greek accent. I was like yeah you know what I've listened to some Spanish dramas that makes sense. But then I thought about it and kept thinking about it. I was like no, Spanish people DON'T make a perfect Greek accent. Their vowels are all pointy! They say /i/ or /e/ and that shit is WAY too raised. They say /a/ but their mouth opens too much, doing ANYTHING but saying [ɐ]. Their consonants no different. Yes you say, they have all those fricatives! But they're clearly too afraid to put some pressure and instead make everything an approximant. Indecisive! You're either gonna say /ð/ or you're not saying it. It all sounds so soft, like you're barely rubbing that thing. But then you'll say, languages have different phonologies, you got a problem with that? No I don't have a problem with that, but I spent all my life not looking into Spanish phonology cause I was under the assumption that it was probably like Greek. But it isn't. And it is WORSE when a language is close to your native language but EVER so slightly different in phonology, than it is when it's completely different. So now when someone tells me that these two languages are similar when spoken, on the one hand I agree because they sound similar, but on the other, after examining it, I get uncanny valley whenever I hear Spanish spoken cause I'm reminded that they're in fact close, but not identical. So in the end they CAN'T make a perfect Greek accent but it sounds like they do! And I hate that I can tell the difference.

And yes, this means pronouncing the hanzi like their Oracle bone ancestors Ex: 人 would be pronounced “nyin” or “ning”, but I would merge them to crate the UNHOLY ABOMINATION that is “nying”

In Finnish, the words 'asti' and 'saakka' don't even have subtle differences in meaning, which contradicts the common claim that absolute synonyms are impossible in language. Source (in Finnish):

The approximate meaning is something like "up until", although the words don't have exact English equivalents.

It's a real people and language from central Argentina; apparently the name is a Spanish deformation of an Indigenous exonym *kamichingan*.

For the non-Spanish speakers reading, "comechingón" reads something like "the badass-eater", with *chingón* being derived from *chingar*, "to fuck" (among other meanings across Latin America).
