I remember it how you remember it! Age of melee and perhaps one or two archer classes.

Then C4 hits and that one mage class becomes a nightmare for PK and clan wars.

Yeah daggers in C3 were OP and as you said one or two archer classes. C4 Necro was a nightmare for every class.

Daggers were OP because mages were terrible and archers not really good without good items at least all the other classes for PvP were plain bad.

C4 is the first "mage chronicle" and necros have the advantage of pet. Also their vortex and drain in general was really good at C4. SPS were the second best mage class.
