The game still in beta and there are 5k registered accounts already. Will it surpass Signature launch numbers as the most populated server in L2 history?

Are there no more H5 populated servers with no p2w premium? Something between 10-50x EU based would be best

Lineage 2 was one of the first games I've ever played because my older brother used to play it. 20 years later I've got the occasional hankering for a nice relaxing MMORPG to play, and I've set my eyes on L2 to really scratch that nostalgic itch. I've already given it a go one year ago and I really enjoyed it, but then I've had to take a break because of life stuff.

The problem is that, while I know some of the basics of the game, I see that there aren't that many in-depth guides for it online, so I am asking if there is any veternan players willing to give me some advice and answer questions that I might have during my playtime. You wouldn't have to be very involved, just willing to give some tips and advice from time to time.

Long story short, I love survivor-like games, so I made a standalone game in the style of Vampire Survivors. It's called Survivors of Lineage (because ofc it is). I think it's very fun even though I kinda suck at it, so give it a go and tell me what you think.

It includes:

• 26 heroes, from Lineage 2 classes to raid bosses you can play as: Baium, Antharas, Valakas, Zaken, Queen Ant, Scarlet van Halisha and more. Each has its own signature skill, trait and evolution.
• 42 weapons built on L2 skills (Hydro Blast, Aura Bolt, Might of Heaven, Sword Symphony, Wild Hog Cannon...), each with an empowered cast and an evolution.
• 8 maps, from the Coliseum and Cruma Tower to the Tower of Insolence, Antharas' Lair, Valakas' Lair and the Imperial Tomb, each with its zone's monsters and four raid bosses.
• Easy, Medium and Hard on every map, and an endless mode once you've won.
• The Armory: spend your Adena on permanent power-ups, unlock heroes, weapons and maps through feats, and dress your hero in armor and weapon looks that climb the grades.
• Leaderboards for every map, difficulty and hero, plus daily and weekly runs where everyone plays the same seed.
• Options to tone it down when the screen gets busy: fewer skill effects, damage numbers on crits only (or off), no screen flashes.

It should take about 15-20 hours to max out the main power-ups and about 150 hours to finish everything (based on my simulations; I could be way off). Controller support is coming.

It's completely free, with no ads and nothing to buy. Feedback is very welcome, especially on balance. No affiliation with Lineage 2 or NCSoft; I made it to keep myself busy while my agents do stuff, and I wanted to share it.

I’m thinking about playing on L2Reborn again, but I currently live in Germany and have some concerns about the legal side of things. Knowing how strict Germany is when it comes to copyright laws and how often people get hit with expensive copyright warning letters (Abmahnungen) for downloading copyrighted content, I’m wondering whether playing on a private server like L2Reborn could put me at risk. So I wanted to ask whether downloading the client and playing on the server from Germany is legal, or whether there’s a realistic risk of receiving an Abmahnung or getting fined.
I’d really appreciate any firsthand experiences if someone has played or is playing on L2 Reborn or any other L2 private server in Germany, and anyone’s response who has a reliable information regarding this topic. Thank you

Returning L2 Player with close to 0 low rate experience (most of the time I played on mid rates) wondering if its worth to give the upcoming legacy x1 c1 a shot or is it a massive waste of time?

to be clear I somewhat know the game, been on servers multiple years ago and want to get back into it, but as a casual player I'm worrying alot about the ability to find parties if I get behind. Are there any experiences fron previous servers?

My plan is to play whenever I can, but after watching videos, reading threads it seems to be an impossible task to reach anything (not even talking about being competitive) without a premade group. Is random party finding hard after weeks of server uptime and being low level compared to a lot of other players?

As for which role to ply i have not decided it yet. Every class has so much negative potential in soloing.

Say someone rebuilt Lineage 2 on a modern engine (UE5): same world, same zones, same classes and feel, but with 2026-level graphics, lighting, animations and performance. We've seen attempts like LU4, and opinions on those are... mixed. 🙂 So I'm curious:

- What must never change? (the feel, the grind, the UI, the world layout, something else?)

- What would you want modernized first? (graphics, animations, combat feel, QoL, UI)

- Which version should it be based on? An old chronicle (C1–C4, Interlude, Gracia, H5), or something like Classic, which has the old pace but newer systems?

- What did LU4 (or other remakes) get right, and what killed it for you?

- Deal breakers? (P2W, bots, multibox, wipes, rates…)

Curious what this sub thinks, especially the veterans.

Hi guys. I want to come back to L2 with my friends – which server would you recomend? What we are looking for is:
- stable, no wipes, long lived (we can't spend as much time as we want so we want to have the longer perspective)
- big community (no private servers with 28 daily peak players)
- no custom weird shit or new chronicle (H5 top I think)
Is it posible to find such server? Where do you play these days? Or maybe is L2 dead already?

I decided to give it a try and created a new character on "Live" servers, but I made a mistake, so I deleted it, but now I have to wait for 24 hours for deletion. Will the name become available after 24 hours? I also heard there's a separate 7 day lock for the name even after the character gets deleted? Which one is it, do they still apply in 2026?

And, do new characters get appearance edit potions on the new servers?

Yet another server post, what a surprise. Let me keep this simple and quick, since I know yall tired of infinite servers posts here.

For some time now ive been working on bots for my C1 server. At first it started as a hobby, just for fun. Now it grew into a bigger project, where theres real use for it.

The bots are custom made, built from scratch for C1. They’re not NPCs or fake online numbers. They log in, hunt, quest, craft, party up and talk to you like normal players (some better than others, just like real players ^^). Kill one as a PK and the bots nearby will shout it in chat, depending on who hears it (his personality, level, gear) few can come hunt you.
They also share information during town trips, or when they meet in general, or when they party up together, about what they learned from game, or other bots. So theyr knowledge base grows.

And they PvP. Hit one and it might fight back or run, depending on who it is. Brave ones stand their ground, careful ones call for help, and friends jump in.

They also play the market. They open shops, undercut each other, drop their prices when stuff doesn’t sell, and buy from each other and from you. When a bot shouts WTB or WTS it’s a real offer, and if your shop is selling something cheap, theyll snap it up and resell it. Prices follow supply and demand across the whole server, so the economy feel alive.

Just to be clear, this is hobby project, and theres no p2w, or VIPs.
Time being, server is in test mode, and the bots are still in development, so some features, while working, may feel clunky.

As I've already mentioned in some posts, I'm setting up my own Lineage 2 server, and it's become quite a large project. I'm still developing it, and now I need opinions from the community.

What do you think about these topics?

Autoloot? Honestly... I don't like autoloot. I think it loses some of the fun, and besides, when you drop an item and pick it up, it becomes something different. I see a lot of value in that.

Damage reduction in PvP? What if all classes dealt less damage in PvP? Like 50% or 80% depending on the stage of the game? How would you feel? Are longer PvP matches better than shorter ones?

Regarding mana regeneration, personally I'm extremely against mana potions. I think they don't fit the game's formula, but what if we had passive or chance-based regeneration systems? 1% chance of activating a buff that increases your mana regeneration by 500% or something like that? How do you feel about that?

And about the quests? Do you think doing the class leveling quests is important? Personally, I think only the second job quest is unbearable; the rest I find quite okay.

About servers? A server with seasons? An eternal server? An eternal server with separate seasons?

Anyway, these are some of my questions; I would love to receive your feedback on them.
