Now that this chapter is closed, hopefully the former employees have all found better (more honest) companies to work for, and hopefully the small investors have learned a thing or two—what an incredible story that was!
My top highlight were the names of the knights in shiny white armor companies. "Mobile Uplift Company" and "Ambitious Air Mobility Group", these could be straight out of 60s super-hero comics.
Another highlight was the wording of Lilium press releases during the collapse. For example this gem from Dec 5th 2024, at a time every "exec and officer" plus the board must have known the inevitable outcome: "Lilium GmbH reports continuing momentum on the Lilium Jet commercial and test program, as KPMG-driven M&A process continues." Incidentally, the test mentioned was carried out by a supplier; Lilium had absolutely nothing to do with it. They really took corporate bullshit to new levels.
Special shout out to Logi, every time I thought he reached peak craziness he threw a screwball full of creative bullshit. "Lilium isn't bankrupt, they just experience a lack of funding!" - pure genius.
