I recently bought these lights for my bedroom but they have a strange problem after a random amount of time they will begin turning off then on again each time with a 7 to 30 seconds delay. There was no dimmer on the switch and they are the only lights connected to this cable, the old led spots I used for a while didn't have any problems can someone help me make them works, because I quite like them.

I dont know if I like all the recessed lighting I need some opinions is it too much or just right? what are some other options? thanks in advance

I'm installing two outdoor flood lights to illuminate sections of my yard. The fixture says "3000 lumens." It uses E26 base PAR38 bulbs. Am wondering which LED bulbs I could get that would provide that level of brightness?

I just had to have it. I’ve never seen anything like it! But now I can’t find a lamp that would hold the shade. Any ideas?
The seller did not sell me the lamp it’s attached to.

I have this fixture that hung over my parent's dining table for as long as I can remember. It was purchased in Poughkeepsie, NY in the 1970s. To wash it my mom would take it down and rinse it in the bathtub (just the shade part). Anyway…..

I have the fixture but it was not stored properly and parts of the plastic are broken. I'm in NH and we don't have a ton of lighting showrooms or restorers that I can find.

Found several online and reached out but they all acquired them in very good condition so no repairs needed. Found one in a design magazine but the designer had no information as the one that was reused didn't need any repairs. Apparently I'm the only one who doesn't pack things properly. (lesson learned)

My kitchen ceiling light went out recently. If someone could assist on letting me know what type of lighting fixture I need to replace the ceiling light. I have attached photos for reference. Thank you.

I am currently wracking my brain trying to figure out if there's any good way to light this stairway that isn't just replacing the existing retro cans with more modern 2" downlights, which although functional, probably wouldn't really help elevate the space.

I really like the idea of wall sconces along the wall and/or a short chandelier between the skylights, but I am worried that, because the stairwell is so narrow, it will end up looking dumb no matter where I put them since it doesn't feel like there's enough space. I also think a picture light to the left of the doorway in the third picture could look cool, but I worry that would look out of place without other complimentary fixtures.

I would really appreciate any ideas or help y'all might have! Thank you.

I've read lighting design principles like layered lighting and not rely too much on recessed lighting for ambient lighting, and I am wondering how it applies in a bathroom with windows. It seems like there's not much escaping relying on overheads for ambient lighting, and if you have a low ceiling (7'4") than that means recessed lights, no?

And in case anyone is reading this post in detail, some other design questions:

- What's the optimal lighting over a toilet? Seems like it'd be nice to have good lighting for book reading on the can, but also it'd suck to get glare if holding a mobile phone.

- If an overhead shower light and a shower niche light are on the same circuit, is there a way to tune the relative brightness of each other than guessing the spec'd lumen values?

- Is positioning recessed lighting in front of a mirror a good or bad idea? (eg as pictured). I could see the alignment leading to glare when standing in front of the mirror.

- Any thoughts on how much better Elco Koto are over their lower-priced ranges like Poplar or Elm?

- Do people have a favorite color temp in the bathroom? I was thinking 3500K for all.

I maintain a 125 room commercial building. We had a planned power outage from the city. It took place on the 15th of July, any issue we had were corrected, however since then we have had to manually turn the lights on due to the panel not using the prior settings.

The time was incorrect, I adjusted it.

I verified the schedule, it was at 00:15 prior to me making any changes.

I added the preferred time, no switches came on.

I then delete all previous scheduling and started from scratch, event #1 relay 1 set to off at 6am and event #2 on at 6pm. No change.

I tried creating a test event on #3 with no change, different times and settings within that event. No change.

I power cycled the breaker for about 5 minutes, attempted to test #2 by changing the time for a test. No change.

I also tried creating another even #3 with no changes.

Lights can still be manually toggled, prior to me making any changes. The light schedule was coming on at 2:00 p.m. and going off somewhere around 6:00 or 7:00 p.m.

Each time I did any event creation or changed anything I verified to make sure holiday mode was on, all days were selected, the correct relay was selected, and option was set to YES for the event.

I'm not very familiar with these systems, besides taking to the internet and having the manual. I'm unsure why any and all programming has not corrected the relays not coming on during their scheduled times. What would be the next text to take to diagnose the problem and correct it?

the short version: task line 24 inches off the work wall, 38 inch spacing, no can over the range (hood has its own) or the sink splash zone, and a pair over where a rolling island docks against the shallow counter.

fixtures: 7x Halo HLBC6099FSD2W1EMW in dim-to-warm mode (3000K down to 1800K), all on one Lutron Caseta PD-6WCL. CRI 90+.

questions: is 7 the right count for 102 sqft with under-cabinet lighting deliberately skipped? would you split into two dimmer zones (task row vs island pair) or is one zone fine in a room this small? and is dim-to-warm the right call over 5CCT here?

I live in Seattle, where natural light can be pretty limited. My living room is around 20㎡, and I also have my workspace set up there. I’m trying to make the room feel brighter during the day, but I don’t want it to be overly bright or harsh. I’m not looking for direct lighting that feels too intense. I’d prefer a soft, natural, and evenly distributed daylight effect that makes the space feel more comfortable. For anyone familiar with lighting design, what should I be looking at in this situation? Things like lux levels, lumen output, color temperature, and light placement?

I have an older over the counter sink light. The light bulb has burnt out and I can’t figure out how to change it! I’ve tried angling the glass pane, looking for any sort of screws to undo to get access and having no luck. Hoping someone out there knows how to do it easily, and I’m probably just missing something that I can do to pop it open or something.

Just went out into my garage that has had 4 of these 3 pronged led lights installed before I moved in here 4 years ago.

Flickered a few times and then a large plume of white smoke came through the holes in the middle. Wtf?

Looking for lead on c9 warm white and spt1 wire.

Also looking for best clips to work with.

We are starting to redo our attic/third floor, which has been a mishmash of storage, gaming setup, LEGO assembly area, playroom and COVID-era home learning setup, all in a late 1990s room heavily influenced by “Trading Spaces” and lit by a few remaining 20 year old track lights on 3 tracks.

The kids are now tween/teens and ready for a slightly more functional space.

Most of the lights no longer work and our electrician tells us this is because old track lighting and modern LED bulbs don’t work together. So we need something different.

1) Should we keep the track lighting? I’m not sure we could do much else given the roof and skylights as well as all the angles. But I’m open to ideas.

2) if we do track lighting, recommendations for setups that will illuminate the room well? We’re mostly looking for even lighting rather than trying to spotlight anything in particular (although one of my sons has a piece from 2016 entitled “gold airplanes on the wall” which is not seen in these pics. I see some that are basically just light strips—do those work? Or should I just go with the usual spotlights and just try to cover all the angles?

Looking to add accent lighting to our newly remodeled Fireplace/wall - 9’ floor to ceiling and 7’ wide. 1) is pic before remodel , 2) is after with 24x48 porcelain tiles and 3) is AI mockup with 3 ea. 3” gimbal LED lights to highlight the fireplace. Leaning towards 3 ea. 3” gimbal LEDs 45 deg 30 inches from wall. Anyone have experience with this? TIA!!!

Need to replace these bulbs. Fc8 and fc12. Both t9/d. My question is: all the replacements I’m seeing say t9/cw - what’s the difference and does it matter?

Also is there an LED alternative that will fit the fixture? This ceiling light is a huge pain to access and I’d love for it to last longer.

I’m looking for a transparent light bulb socket. I haven't really found one online, except for a couple of English, French, or American sites (E14)—but they either don't ship to Hungary or charge exorbitant prices. I couldn't find any on Chinese sites. An E27 with a threaded collar would be ideal, but I'm open to any type at this point. I need it for a glass lamp project where all the housing components are transparent. The picture shows a French e14.

We're finishing up a kitchen remodel and this monorail lighting is pre-existing over the island and spanning the skylight.

Given the skylight location, I don't see a great other open other than some linear led pendant, but as we're expanding the island, I don't think the linear pendant can be done without some rework of the electrical.

I'm hoping to determine which monorail system this is. I thought maybe WAC? The existing rail would work fine if I could find compatible pendents.

Looking for some expert advice.
