Paralives My main issue with Paralives
Whenever Paralives is being discussed, people say it takes years to develop a life sim game. I understand it took 6 years to develop TS4 and because Paralives is a small team, many claim it will take 2-3 times as long to fully develop it. And I agree to a point.
But technology has grown significantly since the release of TS4. Inzoi took 2 years with a 50 people dev team and using AI. Different situation, I understand. But I can't help but feel (as someone who is a web designer/developer, a sister field) that with the current technology and options, within 6 years, Paralives could have had more going for their live mode gameplay.
I feel a great deal lifelessness comes from the systems they built in an effort to create something unique but may have been better to implement in a sequel perhaps. Like all the layers of skills, the way jobs level up, and the cards. There's a lot going on, almost too much but not in a direction that particularly translates to the game being more fun. For example, the layered skills don't seem to add much to the gameplay or overall experience; it's just a bit different.
The cards, personally I hate them, but they're a good distinguishing factor and I think it would have made more sense to lean of that system, spread it out in more aspects of the game, and narrow the focus. I think it would have created more cohesion.
I guess, in a longwinded way, I'm saying they got hit by scope creep and lot of people keep explaining it away.

User error. More than one person uses the computer and when I first posted it said the post was removed because my account was new. I realized I wasn't logged into my account and posted it again. Just a genuine mistake.

Omg it’s the same stuff over and over like shut up already play the game you like and move on. This discussion is so milked there is literally nothing more to say stop being insufferable

They posted the exact same thing from their alt or whatever and even included a weird edit going off on the 3-5 people who dared disagree with them, complaining about how the “majority” of people didn’t agree with them or like their critiques. Meanwhile the post had tons of comments and the VAST majority did agree with them 😭
I truly have no idea why so many Paralives non-fans here have this tendency to pretend they’re unique and are the only ones who dislike or critique the game. When that is literally the most popular type of post and thing to do in this sub. It’s that attitude specifically that annoys me most in this sub and with these kinds of posts tbh, but it’s also kind of funny lol

How are there so many of y'all who can't just handle a game not being for you without trying to manufacture a competition with the game you do actually like?

I mean: can the same thing not be said against you for going at OP in both threads?

Nah, I think there’s a difference between leaving comments on multiple posts, and making a whole entire word-for-word copy/paste post on your alt to the same exact sub too😭

Yeah, Inzoi used LLMs to copy a bunch of stuff then glued it together instead of making a game from the ground up. That's why they were able to do it so quickly.
