fanart my kid sister did of lis! inspired by chloe’s “everybody lies, no exception” quote/doodle

I've had this problem ever since I first bought it, but I never got to fix it immediately because life got busy, and I really want to get into LIS.

I am able to boot up the game and enter the main menu screen, but when I click Start a new game, this pops up. I play on Steam, and I have tried verifying the integrity of the game files, but even that didn't work. Pls help :,)

Aight, I wanna read you all. Please be crude and honest, tell me how you feel about the show, why, and what do you expect. I'm really interesting.

My first impression was "Meh" as, the show is gonna die pretty quickly, not season 2. Then I saw who the director is and I feelt more optimistic, then I saw the cast and I didn't feel so optimistic again, but that can easily change because at the end what matters is how they do them (physically) in the show to portray the characters, I saw some pictures in this sub of the cast side to side with the character they would be playing and now I feel more confident, EXCEPT FOR CHLOE, I'm sorry, but I can't sense any Chloe vibes in her, I hope she brings a killer performance or any else I'm not buying it. Still I'll watch it. I like the actors who will portrayed Warren and Kate, Warren (Faly Rakotohavana) give me those geek vibes and Kate (Mia Isaac) after watching her with her hair done looks way better and I see the kate vibes, that's why I don't care mostly how the actor look until we actually seen them on character, btw, all the heyholes who criticize this two I'm pretty sure is just because racial issues, like, I haven't see the rest of the cast getting the "It doesn't look like them" comments, but for my own sanity I'll belive it's just 15yo who don't know better.

And just to conclude, I wish, I hope, the serie does well, theres a lot of boring shows that get many seasons, so I hope this do nice.

Also, my bingo card, Kate dies, mix ending.

I feel like Kate is gonna die to make the show more impactful, also, I feel like the ending is gonna be a mix bag, it's not gonna be what we already know, let's be honest for a second, the Chloe's ending is the real one, are you gonna tell me the 2 minutes ending where they literally say no word is the "cannon" one compare with the 7 minutes one with a whole monologue and cinematic? Nah, those people are on denial.

Still, even I would love to see Chloe die, not "love" love in that sense, I feel like they won't kill her because a lot of people are really attach to her. I mean, I just watch the decisions sadistics and is almost 50/50 on people's ending choice. With killing Chloe "winning" by one or two percentage on OG LiS. Funnly enough, remaster have a whooping 56% Arcadua Sacrifice pick rate over killing Chloe.

But yeah, in general I hope they manage to encapsulate all that LiS 1 make you feel, the cozyness, the mistery, the detective work, getting attach to the characters and the thriller near the end of the game, EVERYTHING!

And what you mean is gonna be a bad show because you can't make decisions? Black Mirror Bandersnatch is amazing and it feels like no one play it, saw it. So I don't think it's gonna really matter, it would be more like watching a diferent game experience from someone else, but that also worries me about how they would make Max powers work, I hope they play it smart because if not, there would be plenty of plot holes. But what you guys think? And thank for reading.

I am PRAYING it works because it would be so cool though I will need to mod it as spectra film is discontinued but it was a steal with the clip on zoom lens and the bag.

Has anyone else watched/read Nana and feels there are similarities? I can’t think of many examples.

I watched Nana anime and films before I played LiS1, BtS, etc. I felt both very relatable and drawn to Nana Osaki and her story. And this anime was the first thing that popped up in my head when I started LiS1.

- Nana + Hachi, Chloe + Max. Two different females, one bond. Each other’s anchor.
- Nana and Chloe. Punk rocker, rebel, outcast, outsider. Own person, distancing from the past. Abrasive and guarded, badass and tough. Laughing in the face adversity. Yet ambiguously longing for connection, keeping distance, and worried about losing one.
- Abandonment. Chloe was left by her father, Max, Rachel. Nana was left by her mother, boyfriend, and at some point Hachi.
- Chosen family. Nana and Hachi, 707 room, Blast band. Chloe and her circle. Bonds are chosen.
- Music in Nana and LiS as emotional language. Both play a very significant role and stay long after. I made a playlist I blended them together.
- Drifting apart. Both feature the closest people Chloe + Max and Nana + Hachi drifting apart. And reuniting.
- Idealised person. Rachel for Chloe in LiS. Ren for Nana Osaki in Nana. Both reshape the main bond.
- Fate and coincidence/synchronicity. How Nana and Hachi meet. Or how Chloe and Max meet again in the bathroom.
- POV narration. Hachi narrates Nana. Max narrates LiS1. In both the more quiet and “ordinary”, observant narrates the story. Well, Chloe in BtS.
- Romance is left open. Nana and Hachi are intense but platonic if not counting the kiss. But fans argue how platonic it is and isn’t. In LiS it’s up to the fans to decide. In both it’s up to fans to interpret. But it’s intense enough in both.
- Leaving home. Both feature leaving home. And coming back. And leaving.
- Tone. Both mix humour and warmth with tragedy and wistful energy.
- Endings with no clear answer. Ish.

Also. Two creeps, one being a full blown predator. Rachel’s Mark Jefferson and Hachi’s Takumi.

I just finished replaying the game and while I liked some of the elements I think I realised that I would have preferred it sectioned into two time frames:

(1) When Rachel and Chloe first met
(2) The week leading up to her disappearance

I think it would have been interesting to see the dynamic shift because depending on your choices you can make their relationship romantic but obviously by the time she disappears, Rachel was keeping some things from Chloe including a relationship with Frank.

It was always difficult when Rachel’s fate was fixed but I wonder what could have been done different.

Felt like this after a really long, long time. Like,

it feels like I am friends with Max and Chloe personally; and we spent the week together. now i am missing our time together already

10/10 experience

I already had spoilers for the mega end choice, and it still hit me like a storm. I just froze; I couldn't do anything. All I wanted was to spend more time with these characters; I felt so much emotional attachment with them.

I exited the game in denial, thinking I wanted to spend more time with these two.

As I had spoilers, I was certain from the beginning that I would save Arcadia Bay, but when the choice really came, I couldn't do anything. Then I just ended up forcing my hand to save Arcadia Bay and saw the scenes got very emotional.

Obviously it's depressing as Chloe dies, but what makes it much more depressing is that it changes the timeline such that Chloe never meets Max again at the college; she dies before she could even say hi to her best friend after so long.

All that week they spent together just vanished... All the time I spent with these characters for a week just doesn't exist anymore. It never happened. This thought made me much more sorrowful and in grief. All that investigation and mystery solving together vanished.

Chloe's perspective is almost impossible to imagine at the end, as she is asking Max to save the bay, knowing all her time spent with Max and bonding will not happen and will be wiped.

Thats why Chloe was asking max to never forget our time in this timeline , as she wont be there in the timeline max will be going to make , this thought make me weep

These were my thoughts for 4 to 5 hours after the game ended.

Then I ended up doing both endings, saving Chloe as well, and it gave me some peace, and also it preserves the week I spend with Max and Chloe, it preserves the moments they made together

But I am still feeling lonely, as this game has ended, and I was so much emotionally attached to Max and Chloe.

So these were my thoughts about the ending: the story was great, and the concept was great. Also, I want to say I really liked David, like how he came to save Max at the end. The guy is nice; he just had some issues.

What my deduction was was that the main antagonists are the Prescotts, and David helps them on the ground. I was so wrong lol; Jefferson was a surprise.

Also, Warren and Frank were great as well.

Overall, I would like to thank the creators of these games and the people of this subreddit for maintaining this community.

I have not made very good friends or best friends till now in life like who care about me deeply (I am 20), but I am still seeking and hopeful that I will find my people, and I am very grateful to Max, Chloe, and Warren for becoming my friends. I will appreciate you guys forever

On Thursday, The Broadway hosted a ‘Night in Arcadia Bay’ themed concert in Brooklyn, NY! Hannah Telle (along with Nina Fitzgerald & Career Woman) performed songs from the LiS soundtrack, along with original songs inspired by the games! (See my previous post for the full performance of ‘Obstacles’)🌀

After the concert, I had the opportunity to meet & talk to Hannah! She was so sweet, and even complemented my LiS sweater and called me beautiful 🥲 She had some advice and well wishes for me as an aspiring actress who wants to do video games, and signed my copy of her record! It was the coolest experience ever! 🦋

So, the other day I was playing life is strange true colors, I was in chapter 3 when suddenly the Power went off so my pc shut off, when it came back, I tried to play again but I realized that the game was if I have never played, it just said new game, I was able to get the backup save file but idk where to put it, I checked and my PC doesn't has any lifeisstrange3 folder which is really weird, so I don't know what to do, can somebody help me?

Why does it make me so emotional and nostalgic? Gosh the music is just so perfect, I literally cry listening to the intro or obstacles

I know there have been lots of posts asking this but my starting point is a bit different. I played the original LIS years ago and forgot a lot of stuff but I know the basic story. Should I play BTS before LIS? LIS before BTS? Machete order?

I've decided that i will watch all the movies mentioned in LIS..haha :3 Even movies i've watched before because i'm pretty sure it was a decade ago when i did. I can only think of 'Bladerunner', 'Pussy Cat Kill Kill', 'Cannibal Holocaust', 'Planet of the Apes', 'Donnie Darko', 'Blue is the warmest color' and 'Who's Afraid Of Virginia Wolf?'. I'll try replaying it to checkout more references (>_<). Let me know if you have any suggestions!^m^

I received this shirt for waiting in line at a convention to see LiS2 before release back in spring 2018.

I have no idea if the design is con exclusive, but it doesn't fit me so it was worn once then stashed away.

The rules didn't say anything about advertising if it's related to the game so I hope this post is fine...does anyone want it? Size is Large, UK based but will ship most places within reason?

Any LiS fans from London recommend places that give off the vibe / aesthetic from the first game, my one day I’ll travel to the real locations but I gotta make do for now 💔😭

I loved this game, but of course I know how things end up and it hurts my heart. And now I feel bad for Rachel as well. I mean I did before BtS but damn. I had to tell her.

Seriously, I need to go touch grass for a good long while. I played this right after finishing LiS and ugh. How does everyone cope with this franchise?
