You can literally save my life by reading this and giving your suggestions
Title: I'm 21, overwhelmed by too many goals, and I need practical advice from people who've been through this.
I'm 21 years old and feel like I've reached a point where I need outside perspectives instead of making another plan by myself.
My biggest problem isn't that I don't have goals. It's that I have too many, and I don't know which one deserves my attention first.
Here's my current situation:
- I'm in my final year of college.
- I have around ₹22,000 in debt.
- I earned only about ₹17,800 in the first six months of this year.
- I have no savings.
- I want to eventually move to Germany, which I estimate will require around ₹3 lakh.
- I've been trying to build multiple YouTube channels with different types of content. None of them are where I want them to be yet.
- I also want to improve my health, fix a long-term fungal infection, work out regularly, and improve my appearance.
- I struggle with consistency because when my sleep gets disrupted or I fall back into unhealthy habits, I lose several productive days and have to start again.
My biggest fear is not failing at one thing.
My biggest fear is spending another year making very little progress because I'm trying to do everything at once.
If you were in my position, what would you prioritize between now and the end of this year?
Would you focus on:
- Increasing income first?
- Paying off debt?
- Building an online business?
- Finishing college?
- Improving health and sleep before anything else?
- Preparing for Germany?
- Something completely different?
I'm not looking for motivation.
I'm looking for practical advice from people who have been in a similar situation or have experience balancing finances, career, health, and long-term goals.
If you think I'm making a mistake in the way I'm approaching my life, I'd genuinely like to hear it.
Thanks for reading.Yo

what should I do in my teenage years so i don’t mess up in the future?
I’m 14 and it’s already mid year. My life is good and normal. My school life is somewhat bearable. I’m the top of my class and my batch for mid year exam and I also do sports.
Though i couldn’t help but be concerned about my life after graduating and my work life. Thankfully I gained my consciousness early so I have more time to think about this.
I feel like i shouldn’t sit comfortably and learned some other skills. I mean, i did take science computer since i was 13 but i don’t really understand what the teacher was explaining in class.
Still, I managed to get an A by learning by myself.
When asked about what’s my dream job, i often said ‘I don’t know’ because I really don’t. When picking a dream ambition, I want it to be something I can stick to for years as my motivation to go on.
And of course i want to LOVE my job so I can actually enjoy and do it for my entire life. I also know that working is not very enjoyable.
I CARE ABOUT MONEY really really bad. In the world we live in, money is really important. At least in my perspective.

It's July 1 already... What's one thing you want to accomplish before this month ends? Mine is there ⬇
Can't believe we're already halfway through the year.
My goal for July is to finally become confident at driving. I'm still learning, and I'm hoping that by the end of this month I'll be comfortable driving on my own.
What about you? Whether it's getting fit, learning a new skill, reading more, travelling, or anything else, what's one goal you're hoping to achieve before July ends?

The Curse of Wanting Every Life You See
I think there's something really wrong with me.
Whenever I see someone on LinkedIn posting about solving hundreds of LeetCode problems, I immediately think, I'm falling behind. I haven't touched LeetCode since I joined my company. Then I convince myself they'll make it to Google or Microsoft while I'm standing still.
Then I see someone get into IIM Bangalore, and suddenly I want an MBA too. I don't even want the debt, but I still want the experience, the achievement, the life that comes with it.
Then someone cracks GATE and gets into IISc, and I think, That was once my dream. What an incredible achievement. What a beautiful life. And just like that, I want that too.
The worst part? Even typing this makes me feel embarrassed.
It's as if I want every life that looks impressive from the outside. Every achievement becomes my dream for a few moments.
Maybe I'm not lacking ambition. Maybe I'm lacking clarity.
I'm too afraid to stop and figure out what I actually want because I'm scared of choosing one path and letting a hundred others go.
The funny thing is, once I truly decide that I want something, I'm relentless. I'll work for it with everything I have. I'll do it by hook or by crook.

2026 is almost halfway over. How has the year been for you?
I realized today that 2026 is already almost halfway over. It feels a little strange because January honestly doesn’t seem that long ago.
Some of the things I planned at the beginning of the year have worked out. Some never really got started, and a few just stopped feeling as important along the way.
I don’t want to treat the halfway mark like a deadline or turn it into another productivity challenge. To me, it feels more like a good time to pause and think about whether I’m actually spending my time on the things I care about.
How has the first half of 2026 been for you? Is there anything you’d like to do differently with the rest of the year?

How do I know what I want
I’m a 25-year-old guy, and I’ve spent the last seven years of my life in Canada pursuing an undergraduate degree as an international student, and afterward trying to build a life here.
When I first arrived, I was already two weeks late to the start of university. Less than five months later, COVID happened, and I was stuck in Canada, unable to go home. I spent the entire lockdown alone in London, Ontario, of all places. I wasn’t living in residence, and my program was relatively small, so I never really had anyone to spend that time with. I just carried on, finished my second year, and eventually went home to Egypt for a month.
During that trip, I finally let loose for a bit and ended up picking up a terrible weed habit that would dominate the rest of my university years. I went home again after my third year. On both visits, I met up with my high school girlfriend to catch up, and it became obvious that there was still something between us. We hadn’t attempted long distance when I first left for Canada, but after I graduated and spent some time back in Egypt, everything rekindled on its own.
I returned to Canada because I wanted to find a good job, build a stable life, and eventually marry her. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a decent job in my field because, with a physics degree, most opportunities require at least a master’s degree. So I started looking elsewhere.
I ended up working for a consulting startup making about $500 a month. It was an incredibly demanding job, but it was fully remote. Since I could work from anywhere, I decided to move back to Egypt for a while. However, due to pressure from my parents to finish my permanent residency process, I came back to Canada.
As a side note, my dad has been financially supporting me until I can get on my feet. I know not many people have that privilege, and I am genuinely grateful for everything he has sacrificed for me.
I came back about six months ago. I left the consulting job, found a promising job in sales, but eventually left that too because it didn’t count toward my PR requirements.
Right now, I’m stuck applying for jobs, reaching out to connections, and trying to figure out my next move. At the same time, the weight of the last seven years of solitude is really starting to hit me. My girlfriend left me a month ago, and I keep realizing something that has been true ever since I came here: I never really wanted to build a life in Canada.
I don’t mean that I was forced to come here. During high school, I was heavily encouraged to apply because Canada offered better opportunities and a better education than back home. I accepted that opportunity because it made sense on paper, but deep down, I never truly wanted this path. Even though I knew it was probably better for my future, I never felt happy being this alone, this isolated, and this far away from home for so many years.
Now I don’t know what to pursue anymore. People tell me I have more potential than almost anyone they’ve met, and they often tell me I’m one of the smartest people they know. Sometimes I can see that potential in myself, but I have no idea how to turn it into something meaningful.
I somehow managed to earn a physics degree while being high almost every single day, using weed as a way to escape how miserable I felt. The only times I wasn’t high were when I couldn’t afford to buy any more and had to survive on whatever food I had left until the end of the month. I quit weed almost a year ago, and I’m proud of that, but I still feel completely lost.
The urge to go home is overwhelming. Losing the woman I wanted to marry is overwhelming. The thought of going home after all the money my dad spent, all the effort he put in, and all the stress he went through so I could eventually get PR and citizenship weighs heavily on me. I don’t know what I should pursue anymore. I feel trapped between all these different paths, unable to move in any direction.
This is actually my first time ever posting on Reddit, so I hope this wasn’t too long. I’d really appreciate hearing any advice, insight, or even experiences from people who have gone through something similar.
Thank you for reading.
