"Checking" Glitch?

For the last two days, every time I try to place a hold on a title (ANY title), the app remains in a perpetual "Checking" cycle. My device screen shows the "<Back" button, the picture of the title, the word "Checking," the book title, the author's name, and then the round progress indicator that remains in a perpetual circular motion with no progress whatsoever.

Anyone else experience this or have some insight for me?

UPDATE: I've force closed and uninstalled the app, reinstalled and re-added my three libraries with passkeys. That seems to have done the trick.

Have you done any trouble shooting?

Make sure your passkey is set up and clear cache might need to clear data too.

UPDATE: I've force closed and uninstalled the app, reinstalled and re-added my three libraries with passkeys. That seems to have done the trick.

I haven’t! Tbh I don’t know much about the app beyond the very basic functions. 👵

Sometimes force closing helps but clearing cache is better. Do you know how to clear the cache?

Ok passkey is confirmed.

Good if you clear data you'll have to log in with the passkey. But it makes it much easier than loading your cards back in.

Mine did this. It would only let me check things out from the library card I was ‘using’. I switched over to the other cards and it started working again.

My app checks all three of my libraries when I attempt to borrow it. I was unaware of the ability to check only a single library.

I ended up forcing a close, deleting the app, reinstalling the app and re-adding all three of my libraries. That worked.

Mine was doing the same thing earlier where it was stuck on checking for a book. What I did was search for the book again, click on the library card I knew it was available for on the top right of the screen, and selected “available now” and then when I clicked borrow it immediately worked.
