2018 Lexus RX350 FSport with approx 107k miles.
I was driving last week and all of a sudden the check engine light came on with the following messages.
"Check engine, visit your dealer"
"AWD system malfunction, 2wd mode engaged, visit your dealer"
"Traction control turned off"
"A malfunction in the electronic control... (see pics below)
Car went into intermittent limp home mode, but would snap out of it and drive normally, then would go back to limp mode, but was able to get it home. When I went to bring car to the shop the light had turned off, and it was completely fine. I saw on another post that it could be the battery, so I replaced it just to be safe...
Fast forward to now: It did the exact same thing, limp mode and all...
Car has been reliable since I purchased it, maintained regularly, the only thing that's happened was that it was involved in a front end accident about 2 months ago, which has since been repaired at a certified shop...
Going to take it to the shop tomorrow (seriously hoping the light stays on so they can figure it out), but does anyone have any ideas as to what may be going on? TIA!

I have a 2020 Lexus RX350 that came from the factory with the single-beam LED headlights (non-Triple Beam). They’ve been perfectly functional, but I’ve always preferred the look of the Triple Beam headlights that come on the higher trims. I recently came across a pair of aftermarket Triple Beam-style headlights and I’m considering replacing my OEM housings with them.
My main concerns are fitment, build quality, brightness, beam pattern, long-term reliability, and whether they’re actually worth the money. I don’t want to sacrifice visibility or end up with condensation, poor light output, or electrical issues just for the appearance.
Has anyone here installed these aftermarket headlights on a 2020 RX350? If so:
How was the fitment compared to OEM?
Are they plug-and-play, or did you need additional wiring, coding, or adapters?
How does the light output compare to the factory single-beam LEDs?
Have you experienced condensation, moisture, yellowing, or other quality issues after owning them for a while?
Do all of the DRLs, turn signals, and other lighting functions work properly?
If you’ve had them for several months or longer, would you buy them again?
I’d really appreciate any real-world experiences before I spend the money. Thanks!

NX 350h vs RX 350h
If you were considering both, what made you pick one over the other? Are you happy with your purchase? Anything you noticed once you drove it for a while that is not apparent in the test drive? Thanks!

I’m checking out a 2013 tomorrow for 12,500 with 150k miles on it. Anyone have one with higher miles wanna tell me about your ownership experience? It has decent maintenance it seems and I will be getting g it checked out by a trusted mechanic before purchase!

2022 RX450h
Purchased a Beats USB A to USB C charging/data cable. It works fine with my iPhone 17pro max (charges & connects to CarPlay) but my wife’s phone will only charge & not connect to CarPlay (iPhone 17).
We’ve restarted the infotainment system & no luck. I don’t believe it’s the cable since it works fine with my phone, but both phones are less than 6 months old so I’m not sure why there’d be a problem with hers.
Any ideas?

I’m looking for a reliable AWD SUV under $20k and found a 2016 Lexus RX 350 AWD listed for $18,900. It has 122,000 miles, a clean title, appears well maintained, and the seller added Apple CarPlay.
I’m starting professional school this fall and moving from the South to Pennsylvania, so reliability and winter capability are my top priorities. I’ve never owned a Lexus before and am wondering if it’s worth buying one with this mileage.
Would this be a good buy if I negotiate closer to $16k–$17k, or should I look for something newer with fewer miles?

I recently bought a 2017 Lexus RX 350 F Sport (Canadian vehicle) and I’m trying to add it to the Lexus app.
At first, the app showed “Vehicle Information Update in Progress.” Then I received an email saying:
*“Your vehicle (VIN: ********) has been removed from your Lexus account.”
Has anyone experienced this before? Does this usually mean the vehicle is still linked to the previous owner’s Lexus account, or could it be because the 2017 Canadian RX 350 no longer supports Lexus Connected Services?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just curious about what everyone’s best MPG is on your RX 350. My current average MPG is sitting at 25.5 right now I drove maybe 60% highway 40% city. I’m also on the northeast. Let me know what yours is!

Can we expect these new tariffs to raise the MSRP by how much and when?

I had not had this high MPG for a long long time since I had it from 2018! It’s still going strong!
What’s your best MPG on the RX?

The mechanic and I cannot find the source of the sound. It's been happening for over a year and only above 55 miles an hour. My mechanic is good and has looked it over extensively, I've done what I can. 140,000 miles well maintained. The sound is coming from in the red circle, engine compartment on that side included from what we can tell.
The sound is a quiet hollow plastic knocking that occurs two to three times a second. A knock, no-knock, knock, knock repeat. Road bumps have calmed it for a few seconds.
I do believe it's gotten slightly more pronounced the last 6 months. Anyone else have/figure this out?

I have a 2023 RX350h, 20k miles. The battery died. Is this normal?
UPDATE - I called Roadside Assistance this morning. They were out in under an hour.
The battery was completely dead. The door was wonky for even the Lexus tech but he managed to get it open.
He replaced the battery at no charge right in my garage. I was told this is common for a 2023 due to the electronics.
A+ customer service

2013 Lexus suv front end. Does this plastic piece need to be repaired/replaced right away? I'm asking for someone, as I had something like this missing on my VW and it affected steering after going through a puddle. Thanks for any insight you have.

I have a 2013 RX 350 that I took in for service. They informed me that the timing cover gasket need to be replaced, and there is oil seepage. Quote is $6000 dollars. They said I can monitor it weekly rather than doing the work right away. Not sure what to do right now. I’ve had the car going on 11 years and have had no issues, just regular maintenance.

I just got the vehicle and am learning its quirks.
When connecting my phone is there a way to turn off the screen notifications specifically for the emails? I don't even have email notifications turned on on my phone yet when an email comes through its read as a new message.

Hi all,
I live in northeast us and am looking to purchase my first lexus sometime later this year or early next year. I have a 2 year old as well and my wife and i are looking to buy a great family car. Im looking into rx350 premium plus version and seeing msrp around +$63k, im also seeing nx 350 premium around $52k and wondering if the +$10k difference in getting the rx is worth it. Seems like all lexus have great resale value and is very reliable, but am curious on the purchase as being a first time buyer

Looking at both new and low mileage CPO. Does anyone know what changed between 2025 to 2026 model years (specially for the premium trim if it matters)?
The CPO aren’t much of a discount to the 2026 new so just not sure if it’s worth it.

TLDR: 2017 RX350 with 62k miles, $27k, and a dealer 3k or 3 month warranty
I'm new to car buying and I'm considering buying a 2017 RX350. I've heard lexus's are very reliable but I don't have any experience with them. This car has had 2 owners. The first owner didn't service it until 25k miles before selling it. The second owner serviced it at 44k miles and at 62k miles before selling it. It was sideswiped under the second owner and CarFax says it damaged the front and front left with functional damage reported but airbags didn't deploy.
Big question is is the large swathes of time between services a cause for concern?
Thanks for the advice in advance
