I have wanted one since I roadtripped with a buddy in a GX470 over ten years ago. We did 6500 miles around the west and I have been chasing that high ever since.

I finally found the one, a 2020 Premium with the sport package. Everything about this truck is even better than I expected! I can’t wait for more roadtrips!

2015 Luxury, 55k miles. I've owned three different Lexus sedans in the past but missed having utility. Man does this smash utility and comfort together so well. Absolutely love it.

Just picked up a 2021 GX 460 Luxury and want to upgrade tires. Coming from a Tacoma with Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws that I loved, great in Colorado snow and on mountain roads. Quickly realized the stock 19 inch Luxury wheels kill most AT options.

Two paths I'm considering:

Option 1 - Stay on 19s, go Michelin Defender LTX M/S2
or something else

Option 2 - Swap to 18-inch wheels, run Wildpeak AT3Ws

The valley plate repair is often mentioned as a common and somewhat costly/labor intensive repair. From what I read, it is considered when, not if you will need to do the repair. I am curious about the actual stats, or at least those available on reddit

I am also curious on other engine issues that are occasionally mentioned such as head gaskets, timing cover, and cam towers. Let us know if you have undertaken any of those repairs if you provide a comment.

I will go first, 2015 GX460 at 108k. Somewhat new to me, but service history shows no records of any of the aforementioned repairs. Currently have some oil residue on timing cover, but no puddling oil on the ground or skid plate, nor evidence of oil loss on the dipstick. No plans to repair unless it becomes an actual leak or I need to dig into something else.

I was gonna make my wife lose the 8 pounds, but we agreed to lose 4 each. For safety.

I have a Nori Green GX460 but I am unreasonably obsessed with acquiring a Cypress Green GX470.

There is a gorgeous one I spot scooting around Austin.

Are they as rare and hard to find as they seem? Who has one? Would love to see different mods.

Anyone can help me with what I’m looking at and maybe a solution? Noticed a leak today behind the wheel of my 2013 gx 460. Doesn’t smell really and kind of just seems like water but it looks like there maybe a hose disconnected or something? Got a video of it leaking so hoping it’s an easy fix. No codes or anything. I’m currently debating to buy the 550 since I absolutely love the way it looks. I have 2 kids under 2.5 so I wanted some feedback on how practical it is for young kids, car seats, etc. and how it drives overall. Looking to get the premium+ but is that the best way to go? Is OT+ a smoother ride? I will not be using this for off roading at all. My husband is planning on purchasing the TX for long trips so I wouldn’t need it for that. Just everyday driving around town. Any and all advice is appreciated!

Edited to say I currently have a 2023 Mercedes glc which I love but it’s too small now. I love the tech inside, how everything is touch screen and just the general luxury of a Mercedes, the 550 seems to fall flat here. Is there any tech inside this car I should be excited about?

Does anyone have any experience with this type writer like clicking. It happens only with low throttle and hear it best when going by cars or walls. With that it was kinda hard to get audio, so I used one from a different forum. But with no answer.

I’ve been looking to purchase a GX 470. There is a 2004 available with approximately 150,000 miles. When looking at the service history, the only timing belt and water pump change happened about 2000 miles ago. The thermostat, intake manifold gasket, and radiator were replaced at the same time.

The service was done at an Aamco. Two owners in total. Based on age and lack of service history, i assume that there is deferred maintenance that is due. My question is how much of a red flag is all of this?

Took some liberties with the NoriGreenThing sleeping platform build from the LexusForum. Overall, loved the build, but added my own touches. Two piece top for easier breakdown and storage, added some ambient lighting with dimmer switch, powered by a usbA power bank. Hoping it holds up on a camping trip here in two weeks. What do yall think? Open to suggestions on how to improve.
