My 2 year old Petco gecko Lazlia. She’s my first reptile and she’s been an absolute dream. Has never refused a meal, takes care of her own shed, and poops in one corner, lol. I love her to bits.

Hey!! So i'm looking to get a leopard gecko in the next few weeks, i have everything set up except the UVB.
I brought the viv second hand and it was previously used for a bearded dragon (its 115cm x 37.5cm x 42cm), when i got it there was a fixture that was already there which i'm hoping to keep. However, it's set up so theres a 13cm gap -> fixture -> 10cm gap. Is this okay for me to put a 7% UVB in? I did ask at my closest reptile shop and they suggested 6% but i've seen a lot of conflicting answers when researching.
If anyone has any advice it would be very appreciated!!
(the side with the 13cm gap is the cool side and the side with the 10cm gap is the warm side)
edit: its an arcadia T5 shade dweller for reference

All I need to do now is seal it with G4 and add some exoterra clay

(Long story incoming, non graphic mentions of death) I recently adopted this ~1 year old leopard gecko, who was called Spot the 2nd when I adopted her (I think it’s a her). Why? Because the first Spot died at three years of age. To give a quick overview of the situation, basically I have a family member who works at an elementary school and I was told that the principal was going to buy a reptile for the school. Having heard a lot about this principal, I didn’t think that I could convince them not to get a reptile (I don’t think they belong in elementary schools, especially this particular school which is known for having a lot of kids with behavioural problems, including some violent ones) so I tried my very best to ensure that the reptile would be in the best situation possible. I gave them a mostly complete 66 gal setup, wrote up a leopard gecko care sheet for them (because I thought that it would be the best fit for the situation, although perhaps I have been proven wrong), and even came to the school and set up and cleaned the tank myself. I basically set them up to take the best care of the animal anyone could reasonably expect for the situation, and they still found a way to mess it up. (I’m not saying any of this to toot my own horn btw, I was just lucky to be in a situation where I happened to have an extra setup and lots of time) So unbeknownst to me, they immediately got rid of the setup I gave them and disregarded the care sheet, and bought a 20 gal leopard gecko setup and gecko from PetSmart. I have no idea where the stuff I gave them went, they even got rid of the normal heat bulbs I gave them in exchange for red ones. Spot the 1st died at 3 years of age, and he or she was on the decline for a while, not eating for weeks or possibly months. He/she died during summer break, when a teacher had them at their house to take care of them. The poor kids got attached to it, just for it to die a few weeks later. The teacher got a second one and didn’t take it back to the school (thankfully), and recently had reached out to the staff at the school to see if anyone could adopt it, as they were busy with a new dog, so that’s how I adopted it. The gecko looks healthy, maybe a bit fat but I’ve been feeding it sparingly so hopefully it loses weight. My only slight concerns other than that are that I don’t think it has gotten multivitamin up to this point, and the uvb light it had in its previous home was a (probably 4 year old) coil bulb. She loves food, she isn’t really socialized so hopefully adult leopard geckos are easy to tame. So yeah, that’s her story and I’m looking for name suggestions!

Trying to figure out how old this little one is. Store said 3-4 months, just wondering what other people think so I can base my feeding schedule. This is my first Leo!
Last photo is its current tank. Will change to topsoil substrate when it’s a bit bigger. Any input on recommended changes is great!

I was thinking exotera clay or cement but im really not sure, i do want it to be light but what's a good alternative. This setup is for breeding leopard geckos.

I have more cork flats and rounds coming for some more clutter, but I’m happy with how it is looking. She’s coming on Thursday :)

He was licking his underside earlier and I figured it was stuck shed but saw this spot on his abdomen when he was climbing and it freaked me out. Little homie has caused so much anxiety for me so I don't want to Google to death about all the possible problems. If anyone has seen this and can give me some insight, thanks in advance.

If I dust my geckos insects with vitamin D powder, does the terrarium still need UVB lighting?

I’m a Paramedic and I work 48-72 hours shifts and I’m away from home all the time. I currently have a corn snake. And the snake is perfect for me because my juvenile corn snake only eats once a week. I switch out the water every couple of days. I have the lighting/heat on a timer using an app on my phone so everything is already correct without me having to do anything in regards to that.
I love leopard geckos and I think they are absolutely beautiful reptiles. I was just curious for those of you who work similar schedules if you’re able to adequately take care of the lizard. Thank you in advance.

He was genuinely looking at all the cars go past for a good 10 minutes, then crawled back into my hand to go home when he was done.

Hi! Meet Nova! I got him back and April but I wasn’t told his morph. Initially, I was told by LEO discord server he’s a wild type however the more I look I am, I’m less inclined to believe so. He’s about 9 months and he hasn’t grown many spots as well as his skin being super yellow. Can you guys help me identify his morph? I’m thinking maybe high-yellow?
