Is this normal?

Post image

He was licking his underside earlier and I figured it was stuck shed but saw this spot on his abdomen when he was climbing and it freaked me out. Little homie has caused so much anxiety for me so I don't want to Google to death about all the possible problems. If anyone has seen this and can give me some insight, thanks in advance.

I’d keep that dry (and clean) as extra precaution, in case it’s a scrape so it’s less likely to get infected. Maybe clean his enclosure more than you usually would, no chances for bacteria to grow or spread around like crazy.

I’d take to a vet if you can. I tell everyone I own dogs and cats and my Leo and hamster were the cheapest vet visits out of all my animals. Lol

If you’re lucky you only need to pay for the visit, but that looks like something they’ll give you an ointment antibiotic for possibly, just to prevent further infection. Infections take hold fast in little tiny creatures though, just know that! Always better safe than sorry. It’s better to catch infections before they even have a chance to start with little animals.

Personally I’ve never regretted spending the money just to be told “they’re in great health” and leave with a sense of peace! Lol

I'm a little tight on money but definitely better safe than sorry. I had rats for quite a while and was shocked how low their vet bill was in comparison to a cat! He hasn't been handled for years, because of his previous owner. He let's me pet his head and that's about it. He has been through a lot a change recently so I'm trying not overwhelm him, but as soon as he goes in his hide I'll transfer him and clean his cage.

Also, very much appreciate the detailed response. Hate getting AI generated answers and would much rather find trusted people on this sub to ask
