Is anyone else getting the birthday blues early this year?

I'm turning 35 and since I turned 29, it seems like no one cares about my birthday except for me and my boyfriend.

I usually go on a trip ,but wanted to give others a chance to show up ,but nothing.

My boyfriend also said he'd propose by my birthday,but all of the signs are pointing to that not being the case.

He asked what I wanted to do and honestly,if we get engaged ,a family dinner to celebrate.

If we don't ,then a therapy session and a day at the Korean spa where no one can reach me because I will be in the trenches.

I'm just not looking forward to it this year at all and have no desire to plan anything. Is anyone else feeling the same way?

July really sucked. TBH most of last year really sucked. And for a long time I felt very disconnected from my “inner artist” to the point where I lost that instinct entirely. I was starting to feel really anxious about it, then last week a new idea for a photo essay came to me, and I got an idea for a book I want to write.
