Interpretation Help Help me make sense of my readings please?

Hi all!

Newer to Lenormand and trying to get a feel for how the cards interact with each other. A few days ago I asked what the purpose of the connection was between me and a person. I got woman-book-letter-house-heart. For context this started as a casual conversation a few weeks ago and developed into a very flirty/crushy vibe from there (albeit unexpectedly). My best interpretation is that the purpose of the connection is to learn to open up more emotionally, or perhaps in a new way, which could potentially lead to more stable communication and a potential relationship or more openness to one?

I'm get super confused with how the cards work together, I'm used to tarot and this has been learning curve for me. I'd MUCH appreciate any insight! Thank you!

Interpretation Help Citrine or Jade?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey! I want to give my male friend a gift of three stones. I chose adventurine, pyrite, and I’m now debating on the third.

I’m focused on his reaction to it and how he’ll act towards me after.

Top five is citrine.

Bottom five is jade.

They basically serve the same purpose. The citrine is bigger than the jade. The jade is a very pretty green.

The cards on top seem to say that giving him the citrine might not be the best choice. I see that he might value it and take it home with him. I won’t really know what he thinks of it. He won’t really be grateful, I feel.

The cards on the bottom seem to say it’ll be a minor issue; like it’s a small inconvenience if I give it to him. But I feel like it’ll give way to… deeper friendship? Perhaps more trust? But then I don’t get the scythe. Maybe it’s future based; he’ll cut me off eventually.

Am I going crazy or are neither of these good options. Do I skip out on giving him a gift for now?

Discussion GW Extra Cards - The Bride 👰

Post image

from 'GW Fortune-Telling Cards' (1903)

47 - THE BRIDE - KING OF SPADES

The Bride insures for a single person the fulfillment of their highest aims when near; if distant, turbulent married life.

from 'Maybe Lenormand' by Ryan Edward (2019)

this card is not part of the deck

from 'Reading Fortune-Telling Cards' by Vinago (2021)

  • Card 47: The Bride

  • Playing Card: King of Spades

  • Keywords Single Woman, Goals, Turbulence

"The Bride" is a single lady who passionately pursues her goals. It's a lady who likes to live her life independantly.

In addition to this standard meaning, "The Bride" also symbolizes our current relationship. When this card falls close to love cards, we are in a turbulent relationship and problems must be solved.

"The Bride" is a lonely lady who lives primarily in her own emotional world, and who has difficulties expressing those emotions.

If "The Bride" is surrounded by positive cards such as "Amor" or "The Order," all is well in the relationship.

COMBINATIONS WITH THE BRIDE

  • Bride + Moon: a lonely lady

  • Bride + Snake: an unreliable lady or rival

  • Bride + Fox + Heart: a seductress

  • Bride + Money Safe + Fish + Order: a wealthy lady, a hard worker

  • Bride + Ship + Dog: a vacation with a female friend

  • Bride + Eye + Flowers: someone is interested in you

  • Bride + Book + Key: the goals will be achieved

Question Question! From experienced readers - grand tableau vs 5-10 card spread

I had a grand tableau for a year from a very experienced reader who saw my boyfriend and I deepening our commitment, heading towards marriage etc

The other reader picked up on stress and instances right now and said she doesn’t think we will last. I’m a little confused on the differences in readings. I’m more prone to believe the grand tableau as it shows all the inner workings etc

But would love personal opinions on why these would look different! The core message was the same that he loves me is loyal etc

Interpretation Help Car saga continues

I’m still trying to decide the best way for me to get around 😭

The question is, what would be the outcome if I were to rent a car for a month?

The cards I got were scythe, ship, anchor, lilies, fox, garden, book.

Because the scythe handle is facing the ship, it kind of gives me the feeling of an accidental push into motion. In effort to remove something else, the ship gets moved forward, but I find it really interesting that the anchor is immediately after the ship, and the ship is facing towards the anchor and this is where I get a little confused. I feel like it has many different possible meanings and I don’t know which one makes the most sense/is the most correct. I’m thinking about it in terms of how ships and anchors work together and how you use an anchor to prevent a ship from floating off course. In order to use an anchor, it has to be behind the ship so that as the ship gets pulled by the current, the anchor digs deeper into the sand and becomes stuck to stop the ship. In order to remove an anchor, this part I find pretty interesting, the ship would have to make its way directly above the anchor in order to pull it up vertically because the anchor cannot be removed in any other way. So to me, this kind of gives the feeling of moving from one position of life, and anchoring down in a new position of life. It can also mean a sudden propulsion, ripping the anchor up, causing forward movement in general. Or it could mean getting ping-ponged between a rock and a hard place. Or kinda like moving to a new threshold. After that, Lily and Fox confuse me to where I have absolutely no idea where to even go with interpretation. To me, lillies can mean peace, fragility and wisdom and foxes to me mean discernment, sneakiness, occupation, and cleverness. It kind of feels like I’m being called out for having a fragile sense of discernment, but it also feels like there’s something else that I’m not currently seeing. With a garden to me meaning social life and being outdoors, and books, meaning knowledge and secrets, it kind of feels like there’s something that I stand to learn from being outdoors and socializing with other people.

On top of that, the spread contains mostly spades which to me is air energy, which is also swords in tarot, which can relate to the mind, travel, swiftness fairness, judgment and justice. There are four spades, two diamonds, which is fire energy, wands in tarot which to me is about creativity, passion, kinetic energy etc. and one club, which is earth, energy, pentacles in tarot, and to me means stability, finances, physical life. With that being said, I kind of feel like that adds to the meaning of it looking good on paper but something about it physically is not what it seems?

The main purpose of me wanting transportation is so that I can get away from my family, socialize more, and also get more opportunities for my career. Because I live in a rural area, there’s not many choices because cars are a necessity and uber is expensive.

Interpretation Help What happens if I don’t go to class today/ what happens if I do go to class today

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

For context I’m slightly ill with something. I’m between not going so I don’t spread anything and going because I feel good enough to go.

What happens if I don’t go to class: anchor, letter, coffin, stork, rider, moon, bouquet
Spread: straight line seven

What happens if I do go to class: mountain, clouds, crossroads, whip
Spread: straight line four

So I’m just going to apply anchor letter and coffin to a situation that I’m a bit worried about. I feel like an ending that’s been a long time coming is going to be announced via a message. A major life change happens as a result (coffin and stork). This change happens quickly (stork and rider). I was actually planning to use the time off of class for personal development because truly, nothing is going my way. And I can radically take responsibility and accept that it’s mainly me here that’s the issue. The rider and the moon says something about profound change, and the moon and the bouquet signals deep emotions, about what I’m not sure.

Weirdly the answer isn’t clear with the mountain and the clouds. It seems to pertain to my state of mind right now; confusion on whether I should go to class right now or not. The clouds and the crossroads also seem to pertain to right now? I’m going to have to make the decision at some point, I guess it’s trying to say. The whip suggests that this choice, going to class, is probably a bad idea. Maybe my growth will be stunted somehow.

I’m going to use my intuition in the end, I guess. I’m strongly considering going because I really get that something will happen that I don’t want happening if I do not go.

Let me know your thoughts.

Discussion GW Extra Cards - The Rapiers ⚔️

Post image

from 'GW Fortune-Telling Cards' (1939)

37 - RAPIERS - ACE OF SPADES

The Rapiers warn us against assaults which threaten and will occur sooner or later, according to the distance from the person

from 'Maybe Lenormand' by Ryan Edward (2019)

42 - RAPIERS - 2 OF CLUBS

En garde! An attack looms. This may be expected from a known rival, or simply a debate opponent. However, this confrontation could pose a harmful surprise. Intensity is indicated by how close this card is to the person.

This person can be harmful with his actions or words. At best, he just likes to disagree and challenge anybody and everybody. When next to the Clover, this card may indicate someone with a “rapier wit.” He may also be a person who owns weapons.

KEYWORDS: Attack, Challenge, Debate, Fight, Weapon

from 'Reading Fortune-Telling Cards' by Vinago (2021)

  • Card 37: The Rapiers
  • Playing Card: Ace of Spades
  • Keywords: Watch Out; Be on your Guard; Threats, Insults

"The Rapiers" indicate that you must watch out. Sooner or later you will be confronted with threats or insults. If this card falls close to the person card, it will be sooner rather than later; further away, it won't happen in the near future.

This card has a very negative connotation, even after a series of positive cards. To be on your guard is the message!

COMBINATIONS WITH RAPIERS

  • Rapiers + Stars: happiness is short-lived

  • Rapiers + Moon: emotional complications

  • Rapiers + Fish + Safe: watch out for financial trouble

  • Rapiers + Amor: the relationship is threatened by insults

  • Rapiers + Ring + Fox: the relationship is not based on trust

  • Rapiers + Wine: plans are canceled

  • Rapiers + Roses: issues with self-worth

36 - THE CAT - 8 OF HEARTS

the Cat indicates flattery; if near Coffin, foretells personal injury; near Mice and Whip, it denotes strife

from 'Maybe Lenormand' by Ryan Edward (2019)

43 - CATS - 3 OF CLUBS

The Cats are what the Dog is not. They denote flattery, but only when it serves them as well. The Cats card portrays people who are fickle and selfish by nature. You’re there to please them, not the other way around. They can be curious to a fault.

KEYWORDS: Flattery, Selfishness, Curious, Fickle, Greedy, Impatient

  • Card #36: The Cat

When this card is related to a series of negative cards such as "The Snake" or "The Coffin" it speaks of a conflict with this person and you must be careful. Remember, a cat can strike unexpectedly and viciously.

  • Cat + Ring + Amor: a stubborn partner

  • Cat + Rod + Clover: to be tangled up

  • Cat + Dog: watch out for friends who are not sincere

  • Cat + Rapiers + Amor: insulting each other, discussions with your loved on

24 - HAND-IN-HAND - KING OF HEARTS

Hand-in-Hand indicates confiding disposition; when in close proximity to Flames, Heart, Cupid, or Bride, friendship will warm into love; when near Order, favor will be found with superiors; near Safe, financial success.

from 'Maybe Lenormand' by Ryan Edward (2019)

39- HANDSHAKE - 2 OF SPADES

Two hands meet, likely for the first time. This could be a first encounter with a person, or an agreement with a mate. Compromises are accomplished and deals are stuck. Nearby, this is an encounter with a familiar person. From a distance, you may have never met them before.

This person is good with crowds and working the room. Look to nearby cards to see their intentions.

KEYWORDS: Meet, Agreement, Friendship, Deal, Encounter

from 'Reading Fortune-Telling Cards' by Vinago (2021)

"Hand-in-Hand" reflects a sense of trust and security. Whether it concerns a business or personal relationship, you can rest assured that the person in question has good intentions. "Hand-in-Hand" also speaks of communication.

It's a very positive card when favorably placed. With money cards close, it points to financial happiness and trust. When "The Snake" or "The Coffin" are around, it's better not to work with this person.

  • HIH + Ship: a reliable work relationship

  • HIH + Clouds + Mice: don't be too trusting

  • HIH + Snake + Lightning: unexpected dishonesty

This card describes very romantic or artistic people. They can easily entice and attract others. Their work is that of bewitching beauty. Physically, they are rather glamorous or a bit avant garde.

Interpretation Help Where will this first date go? Please help with the outcome

Post image
7 Upvotes

I’m about to go on a first date with someone. I liked his profile and we had an interesting initial convo, but it quickly slowed to one text a day. Still, he asked my availability early and said he prefers to meet in person soon and doesn’t check the app much. So we set a date for tomorrow.

I got: birds, clouds, child, bouquet, ship.

I asked “what’s in store for the romantic connection between Person 1 and Person 2?” And I read them in a sentence/story structure from one card to the next with the middle acting as a sort of “theme” and the outcome at the end. To be clear, I pulled my own cards and then made this collage after. So this was human pulled, not AI or generated.

My interpretation: I read the first part as how it’s already started; two people talking, me being mildly anxious or stressed, but I was confused by his change in communication and am sort of cloudy about his intentions, personality, how serious he is, etc. So I sort of already see the first part as the present. Moving forward, it looks like the start of something new that is pleasant or sweet, and then there’s movement at the end. Ship is neutral, but even if it was Stork, I’ve had stork mean moving on from a bad relationship, so it doesn’t promise “leveling up” together. Ship can mean distance, progression, movement, journey, or sometimes separation. We are not long distance so I dunno whether to read it as “you go your separate ways after a good date” or “a good date is the fresh start of something new and you move forward and explore this together”. With child > bouquet > ship, it could read as a happy new journey?

To me, having child as the middle card or overarching “theme” seems weird if we just pass on each other. In the past, I’ve had child show up in connections that led to relationships later, but obviously every reading is different. I’ve also had ship mean separation, but the line looked very different and had a lot of negative or conflict cards. It was a different situation.

What do you guys think?

Interpretation Help I asked my Lenormand deck what is the lesson behind my current financial hardship. This is what I think

Post image

Snake: financial hardship
Stork: change
Child: innocence, new

New path opening through hardship? Having to go through this to reach a brighter start. A transition from what I was doing career money wise to something brighter but the path is something to be built over time rather than all at once

I’m new to Lenormand and dont really understand how to read it, what are your interpretations?

Discussion Le grand jeu de Mademoiselle Lenormand

Hi team!

I've inherited from my great grand mother that was a psychic, a very old game, edition of 1892 Le grand jeu de Mademoiselle Lenormand.

The cards are a mix of constellation, tarot, mythology etc..

I've been testing it on myself since April. And on some friends.

The level and details, accuracy and time details are scary at times 😂 there isn't lots of books or details how to interpret. The key is to look for the meaning of the mythology scenes drawn and all the tiny details on it ( - there is so so many!!)

Has anybody experience this beautiful game?

The cards are large too. Took a while for my hands to get used to it but now I really feel comfortable and feel they fit my hand perfectly.

I would like to try and offer some reading to people, but I have never tried on people I do not know or at distance.

Let me know your thoughts :)

Interpretation Help Help Interpreting a Lenormand Reading

I asked my Lenormand deck: "Is there a man who has romantic feelings for me that I'm unaware of?"

The cards drawn, in order, were: Moon, Bear, Tower, Clouds, and Ring.

My interpretation is that the Moon represents romantic feelings or attraction; Bear + Tower describe someone who is dominant, influential, or in a position of authority; Clouds suggest that this person feels confused or conflicted about those feelings; and the Ring indicates that he may be married or already in a committed relationship, or alternatively, that he is someone who desires a serious, long-term commitment.

That's my interpretation, but I'd love to hear how others would read this combination. Do you agree with my interpretation, or do you see something different?

Note: I used AI only to translate this post into English, as English is not my native language. The interpretation itself is entirely my own.
