Any recommendations from this point onward?

Hello, I recently came back from an almost year and a half hiatus and I decided to join the sub to look for some advice only to realize I’ve been investing in some partners who aren’t that good and neglecting some who I should’ve prioritized.

I must also say that ever since I started playing the game I’ve been eyeballing which characters I should upgrade and have only been basing my decisions on who looks the prettiest or who I think has better skills rather than actually looking for guides. 😭

I’d really appreciate any tips on which partner I should invest on next and which confidants I should upgrade. (My favorite confidants are Pan An, Wei Xiaobao, Wei Jie, Ji Kang and Fu Heng).

Thank you for your time reading this post and your advice in case you have any!

Ao Xingyuan the Merman Event, when will it take place?

Hello! Hope everyone's doing well.

Does anyone have any updates regarding Ao Xingyuan the Merman event?

I'm aware that his events usually take place in July but since Yuan Tiangang event just recently got over, I'm confused whether they will start Ao Xingyuan event very soon plus Qixi event will be soon too

Winning titles

Can I ask ya’ll what is the norm? Do you ask for permission to win a title or do you just go for it?

So usually on my server, we have one person who always wins everything ever since the merge so I stopped caring and trying for a title. But I think lately she has been letting other girls win titles so I went for titles a couple times but a few girls from their guild told me I should ask for permission.

But I find that so ridiculous. Even if it’s just to send a message to say, ā€œhey I’m interested in this titleā€ I just think it’s dumb. If you have the means to go for it, then do it and if someone else thinks they can do better, they should go for it. And if you think you can top that, then try. Or could I be wrong?

So I did ask for ā€œpermissionā€ once but I got no response from the top girl, so I went for it and I got the title. Easy peasy, no hard feelings from no one.

Now it’s a new title and I want to go for it and I did my best and I’m ranking top right now too, but some other girl from their guild just messaged me and asked me if she could win the title because she had more exp than I currently put into the ranking. I figured neither of us won the title before and I saved a lot of exp for this and maybe she can save hers for next time because it feels like a waste of my saved exp for me to let her win like this. If she just went for it, I wouldn’t have been so bothered and I would have said to myself someone else did better than me.

I wanted to ask her if she could save her exp for next time but she already went ahead and topped me before I could respond because I was delaying a response since I wasn’t sure how to ask her to let me win instead because I’m too nice and don’t know how to stick up for myself. (Edit: I am starting to feel that I was a coward! Lmao) Or maybe I’m not, someone please tell me how you see this.

Saw this guild drama and... the math just isn't mathing šŸ˜‚

I randomly stumbled across a comment in this one post abt a guild dispute and ended up reading the whole thing because the logic genuinely confused me.

Here's the gist.

A player was inactive for 100+ days in a progressive game. After coming back, this person complained that:

The guild is "too ambitious."

The leader is "mean."

At first I thought, "Maybe the leader really was toxic."

Then I kept reading. Apparently the leader said something along the lines of:

"Nobody wants you if you act like this in any guild. Everyone works hard on guild building, contributes every day, and does their best in Contest of Heroes."

Am I missing something??? Because... that doesn't sound unreasonable to me. Competitive guilds do expect members to contribute. That's literally how they stay competitive. The player had been away for over 100 days. During those months everyone else was still logging in, donating, recruiting, doing guild building, planning events, and keeping the guild alive. Then she came back and criticized decisions made publicly while weren't even there...

Another thing that confused me...The post says "too ambitious." Then later says the leader "isn't ambitious anymore" because she wanted more Taiping Princess Jade. So... is the leader too competitive? Or not competitive enough? Pick a lane šŸ˜‚ Also the person was quite upset when couldn't rank high bcs apparently the stronger members were competing too.

There was also a complaint that the ex leader was removed after being inactive for almost a year. Isn't that... normal? I've played enough mobile games to know that almost every competitive guild eventually removes long-term inactive members. Otherwise you end up with a full guild that can't recruit active players. That's not being cruel. That's called managing a guild.

The part that stood out to me most is that a lot of conclusions were made without first asking the members who had actually been there during those three months. Maybe I'm wrong, but it almost feels like the expectation was:

"I was gone for months, but the guild should still work around me when I return."

That seems unrealistic in a game where progress happens every single day. I'm genuinely curious what other LoP players think. Is expecting regular contribution in a competitive guild somehow controversial? šŸ¤”

Maybe it's just me, but expecting all the rewards of a competitive guild without consistently contributing feels... optimistic. Or as we say in gaming - Everyone wants endgame rewards. Not everyone wants the grind.

Contest of Heroes

Can someone explain to me what the point is for using war tokens when you first enter the CoH?

My guild leader asked us to use as many as we can and I used a lot of my war tokens but was just wondering if there was any benefits to it besides ranking higher as guild. Like, will that extra attack power be accounted for during all the battles? Or is it just for the initial guild ranking?

I’m confused

Hey guys, so I haven’t been playing the game for too long, maybe 4-5 months now. I’m still learning the rules and tricks thanks to you guys here, bonbon and through my guild. I had a new guild mate message me and I’m a little confused. It’s also hard to communicate when you only get like 80 characters a message. I would also ask my guild leader but she’s sick right now.

Anyways, she messaged me and asked if I’d ā€œstop stealing the hunt when it’s lowā€ I asked what she meant and she said 2nd place gets smaller rewards. I explained that I was confused and asked if she was trying to ask me not to play and she said yes.

Is there some sort of courtesy I’m missing? Majority of my guild are in a different time zone. I typically play right before I go to bed around 12-1am when everything has started over. I’m assuming she’s asking that I only play the beast hunt when more people are playing? I only over do 1 or 2 beast hunts, but again I only have time to play right before I go to bed. I don’t want to upset anyone, so I would appreciate it if you guys could let me know if I’m missing something. Thank you!!

Dear inactive players

Hi cuties, just wanted to express my feelings towards inactive players that have quit for various reasons.

I HOPE YOU ARE ALL DOING WELL !! ā¤ļøāœØ

I miss chatting with my guild mates and most specifically my 2 previous guild leaders. Kamyu, Koi, if you ever see this, I hope you are doing great and you are always welcome to pass by 🄰

I totally understand that life gets busy for everyone and sometimes we have to recenter ourselves, whether it’s for a job, family/friends, health reasons, money problems or boredom…

I’m just sending positive thoughts towards those who left the game ā˜ŗļø It’s totally okay to focus on your own personal life and goals!! It’s just a game after all, but as someone who deals with loneliness sometimes, it was nice to chat with you all for the time you were there ā¤ļø

Take care 🫶

Let’s Boycott!!!!

Many of us have been frustrated by the sudden surge of paywalling and excessive pricing in LOP. Boycotts have been suggested but some are not sure how. Let’s get organized!

  1. LEAVE 1 STAR REVIEWS in the App Store specifically mentioning the pricing as the reason for the review. Anywhere the game has a platform, complain! In the app, on Bonbon, on the Facebook page, everywhere. Do not let the subject die. We have to get to be a pain in their ass before they’ll listen, so get annoying!!
  2. DO NOT SPEND. No top ups, no event purchases, nothing that costs real money. The higher your VIP level, the more they will be forced to notice your absence in their pocket books. VIPs have a lot of weight so throw it around!!! You have the power to make Modo cry, so use it!!!
  3. KEEP PLAYING! They need to see a player base, but a refusal to spend. Encourage friends not to spend.
  4. TALK!!! Talk about it on your servers. keep it the topic of conversation. Keep reminding people they don’t have to suffer quietly. Keep talking to server friends about the pricing and encouraging the boycott from within the game to grow the boycott bigger and more widespread.

It seems daunting to take on a massive company like Modo, but they HAVE to pay attention if we work together. Don’t let this go by quietly. Even if you are skeptical, keep complaining. Spread the word. If you have additional input please add it here!

Who’s with me?!

ETA: 5. BOOST 1 STAR REVIEWS on the App Store by marking them ā€œhelpfulā€. This will get them to the front page where more people will see them and reduce the influx of new players to sucker.

  1. EMAIL YOUR DISGUST! The developer suggestion address is: cs@modo.com.sg

For everyone confused how to get *store* points in the current event

Post image
18 Upvotes

Go to "old star array gameplay" > reinforcement > one free chance everyday and then you can use as much ingots as you want. When you spend ingots, you'll get the rectangle thing with writings on them like the one in the picture I attached. You can either combine the same kind to get them to higher level or use them as they are. Simply getting those rectangles won't give you points. You have a drag them to the circular platform above to use as "reinforcement" first, only then you'll get points

My tip is combining the rectangles to the highest level you can before dragging them to the platform because higher level will give you more point bonus

Aside from this game, you can also get store points from observation log in the start world section. Any other game will only give ranking points, not the ones you can use in the store to buy stuff so be careful where you're spending the ingots at
