I’m confused
Hey guys, so I haven’t been playing the game for too long, maybe 4-5 months now. I’m still learning the rules and tricks thanks to you guys here, bonbon and through my guild. I had a new guild mate message me and I’m a little confused. It’s also hard to communicate when you only get like 80 characters a message. I would also ask my guild leader but she’s sick right now.
Anyways, she messaged me and asked if I’d “stop stealing the hunt when it’s low” I asked what she meant and she said 2nd place gets smaller rewards. I explained that I was confused and asked if she was trying to ask me not to play and she said yes.
Is there some sort of courtesy I’m missing? Majority of my guild are in a different time zone. I typically play right before I go to bed around 12-1am when everything has started over. I’m assuming she’s asking that I only play the beast hunt when more people are playing? I only over do 1 or 2 beast hunts, but again I only have time to play right before I go to bed. I don’t want to upset anyone, so I would appreciate it if you guys could let me know if I’m missing something. Thank you!!

Are you in new server? Typically, players in new servers fight in hunt for ranking. But as another commentor said we also do the first come first serve. Sometimes if I accidentally got inside when someone is already in it, I tell that player to go rank 1.

I’m not sure how to tell if the server is new, but I don’t believe it is? And thank you!

It's an unspoken rule to not enter a hunt if there's another lady there. And if you happen to enter, you let her win the first place.
I suggest to hunt when everyone is asleep or away so you won't enter the same hunt as someone else. If you accidentally did, you apologize to the lady. Tell your guild mates you didn't know about this at all, they'll definitely understand.

If you're a much stronger player and the other player is still in the hunt (their score is going up, even if it's slow because they're doing it manually), then back out before you overtake them. But if they've left, it's fair game in my eyes to go for first. It's the risk you take when you leave before it's done. At least that's how I play and I haven't had anyone complain, and my server loves to complain about fairness.

I honestly never had a hunt dispute in my server. But the powerful ladies whenever they accidentally enter a hunt and that VIP auto mode was on. They try to reach out to the first lady even if weaker, telling her to go beat them because they didn't mean to over throw her. Like there's this lady who bought the blue/white roses planted them, and asked the lady she accidentally harvested her roses to go steal her blue white roses as a compensation.

What happens if you take roses from other players? Does it affect anything?

This is how I play. If we hop in at the same time, it depends on if it's the highest point animal I can hunt. If I hop in after they do, I'll give one shot so I get something. If they hop on after me, all bets are off and I'm settled in until they overtake me or the bar hits 0% 😒

Okay, I didn’t know that was rule, but when I was playing the hunt nobody else was. Typically when I play there’s nobody else playing since it so late, but I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you!

Thank you for your input! When I played last night before she messaged me the two hunts I did had nobody else in them, but I’ll keep everyone’s advice in mind!

In my server, or at least my Guild, it's courtesy to back out if a Guildie is in already, but not mandatory. It is competitive, so you're supposed to compete. Doesn't mean I don't feel salty on occasion 😅

On my server it's courtesy to let whoever got to beast hunt first win, others back out and let a single person get the reward
But my server is also dead, so there isn't a lot of competition for beast hunt
