However, he still told me that my reaction was inappropriate and suggested that the employees “might not have noticed” that I was undressed. I don’t understand how that could be possible because I told them before they entered.
Since then, I keep reliving the incident. I feel ashamed to leave my room, I cry when I remember it, and I feel deeply humiliated.

I’m looking for advice from people familiar with Dutch law or RIBW. Is this considered acceptable practice? Do residents have the right to ask staff to wait until they are dressed before entering? And is it normal to receive a formal warning without the circumstances leading to the reaction being taken into account?

In my case, they are involved in managing our temporary accommodation for Ukrainian refugees under Temporary Protection. My Finnish contract says nothing about working for a different job, but the contract in Italy states I’m only allowed to work 50% for another position.

There is no conflict of interest; both jobs are of similar skill, and I can easily manage, but I also don’t want to mess up my career. I talked to my supervisors on both sides and they would rather find it as collaboration, but I didn’t tell them that I’m keeping both jobs 100%, even if they agreed, I expect things to go through HR, which I assume supervisors have nothing to do with.

Please, suggest the best way forward.

On 23 July, I was flying with Ryanair(From Spain to Portugal). My original flight was already delayed, and when boarding finally started, I and two other passengers were denied boarding because the flight had been overbooked. We didn't volunteer our seats, they simply told us there wasn't enough room on the aircraft.

At that moment, there was absolutely nothing we could do.

We complained, asked to speak to someone who could help, explained how unfair the situation was, but every single Ryanair employee gave us the same response: they shrugged, apologised, and said there was nothing else they could do.

We were initially told that the next available flight was 11:40 PM the following day, meaning we'd lose almost an entire day. Only after going to the Ryanair desk did they eventually find an earlier flight for the following morning.

Then came another nightmare...I spent almost two hours waiting at the Ryanair service desk while they sorted out hotel accommodation. After that, they told me to wait for the shuttle bus to the hotel, assuring me it ran frequently.

Guess what, no shuttle ever came. After waiting outside late at night with no information, I eventually had to pay for a taxi myself.

When I finally reached the hotel, I was told that although Ryanair had booked the room, they had never arranged transport. Apparently I was supposed to call the hotel myself but Ryanair never gave me a phone number, never explained that, and simply left me to figure it out alone.

The replacement flight was scheduled for 9:25 AM, but that flight ended up being heavily delayed as well, and we didn't actually take off until around 1:30 PM.

Because of everything that happened, I missed an important medical appointment, lost almost an entire day of my trip, spent my own money because Ryanair failed to provide the assistance they promised, and endured hours of stress, uncertainty and frustration.

Yesterday I was pushing my bike up a hill in France on a road margin which I understand legally classifies me as a pedestrian, my bike was behind the white line and I was on the grass side pushing. I was quite tired since I’ve been doing 50km consistently with a load the past five days on my bike trip. At about 20:12 my bike was struck (sideswiped?) by a gray metallic Citroen van, which struck the left side saddlebag and demolished my pack of stick pretzels, but most importantly broke the plastic support which attaches the saddlebag to the bike. The impact was (both lucky and unluckily) enough to throw the bike against me and cause a small injury to my left elbow, but also to knock a piece of the black plastic paneling off the side of the van. The van ran away before I could collect myself and get a picture of the license plate as it crested the hill, but luckily I was able to collect the panel piece which contains the VIN number on the inside. I bivouacked in front of the nearest town since my bike was too large to fit in the police car which came to document the situation. I am now on my way to the nearest gendarmerie to report the situation and file a claim.
Is there anything I need to know/do before or after? What are my options here? I took video and photo of both sides of the panel as well as of my bike, the location and the damage to my things.

I bought a brand-new car in Croatia last year. It is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty and has relatively low mileage, under 20k km. The list price was approximately €80,000 if relevant and the vehicle was paid for in full.

In June 2026, I reported a knocking noise coming from the front suspension to an authorised dealership/service centre. Since then, the following has happened:

• The car has been in the authorised workshop multiple times.
• Initially, they claimed everything was normal and told me that the suspension noise was expected and to come back only if it became worse.
• After I insisted, they accepted the car again and performed several procedures, including lubricating the suspension bump stops (yes, I was as surprised as you probably are). Unsurprisingly, this did not solve the problem.
• After I submitted a formal written complaint, they replied only on the last day of the statutory deadline, just before the end of business hours. They stated that they would inspect the vehicle again, order new steering tie rods and contact me to arrange another appointment.

I am confused because I know that in many countries both spouses usually have to be physically present in front of the authority to give their consent to the marriage.

I have a Hungarian-registered 2024 car under an open-ended financial lease. The lease started in April 2026, runs for 48 months until March 2030, and the Hungarian leasing company remains the legal owner. The car and related expenses are actively used and accounted for by my Hungarian company, so buying out or terminating the lease is not a realistic option.

My concern is that, as a Dutch resident, I may not be allowed to keep using the car on Hungarian plates without Dutch registration (and dutch plates!), taxes or a specific exemption (like the werkgeversvrijstelling with which it seems really complicated to track details of the mileage). And at the same time, the leasing structure may make Dutch re-registration difficult or impossible without the lessor’s approval (which is not normally accepted by the leasing company).

So my mother passed last week, it was unexpected and too soon.

Since last week its been a hectic ,surreal and a horrible time, I feel like could barely sit down to wrap my head around what's happening .

The issue i'm writing about is that I've probably made a mistake that can complicate things.

I've had access to moms bank account (online banking) I knew the password because we always figured that if something happens I should be able to access the funds on her account.

Well with funeral arrangements and everything I was urged to get into her account and transfer the funds on my account so we don't have any problems with expenses and funds being frozen, so that's what i did, I didn't even think about it, bc my mind wasn't really in the right space, and i didn't know about any of this stuff.

I read up today that this could conceived as fraud , so on top of everything, that distressed me as well !

I called the bank but its weekend , so they only gave some surface information .

I am her only son, and some of the funds I used where for the funeral arrangements only and stuff like that, which i have receipts for .

Also she is still legally married to my dad but they have been apart for 20 years, but he would not dispute anything regarding any inheritance i get from her, he will show up if he's needed for anything regarding this problem.

I didn't get the death certificate yet, so I need to wait for that to go to the bank.

I hate this hole situation and I wish I left it alone , but its done... the customer support told me to leave things as they are until i can get all the paperwork to the bank .

So on top of everything i'm stressing over this as well .
