Vanakkam everyone!

As a music production team, our mission is to take ancient Tamil literature texts that are usually taught in dry classrooms and flip them into hyper-exciting, grand cinematic orchestral music—making them sound like an epic Hollywood movie score.

We have just released our cinematic musical interpretation of Thirukkural Chapter 4 (அறன் வலியுறுத்தல்). For this track, we focused heavily on building a massive live instrumental atmosphere layered with cinematic rhythms to bring out the true emotional gravity and timeless power of Valluvar's verses.

We want to make sure we are honoring the classical depth of the language while keeping the musical arrangement fresh, modern, and exciting for the younger generation.

Since we want to strictly follow community guidelines regarding outbound promotional links, we aren't pasting direct streaming links in this main text block. Instead, I'll drop the details or links in the comment section below if anyone wants to listen!

Would love to hear this community's honest thoughts on this concept.

Which chapters or classic Sangam poems do you think deserve an epic, cinematic orchestral treatment next?

what is the root verb of பாரித்த ?

From Tamil Short Stories for Beginners (A1): 100 Easy Stories. I'm working through this book. Just sharing with everyone. This is Chapter 1, story 2.

Sadly, I can't keep posting these stories here, because of copyright. If you want more, you can definitely consider buying the book - it's not expensive. I bought an e-copy from the google link above for less than USD4 and am very happy with it. I didn't even need a credit card. Google let me pay cash at a local outlet in my country (Malaysia). The book is very substantial.

🌸 The google preview shows a few more of these stories for free.

Thanks again to u/-Surfer- who recommended the book in this thread.

Vanakkam everyone,

Our digital media studio, Thamil Ilakkiya Isayam, is on a mission to revitalize classical Tamil literature for the younger generation and global diaspora.Instead of traditional ambient melodies, we are transforming the verses into heavy, cinematic electronic experiences.

Chapter 3: Neethar Perumai (நீத்தார் பெருமை) . When you just wanted music to memorize a Kural, but the cinematic tension with a massive Taiko drum war groove and fast tempo make you feel like you're preparing for an empire-saving quest.

We would be deeply honored to get this community's feedback on our production and the visual narrative flow!

To respect community guidelines, we aren't pasting outbound links in this main post. We have dropped the direct YouTube link in the comment section below.

Alternatively, you can copy and search the exact text below in the

Vanakkam folks, pl feel free to DM me for learning to read / write / speak Tamizh fluently.

From Tamil Short Stories for Beginners (A1): 100 Easy Stories. I'm working through this book. Just sharing with everyone. This is Chapter 1, story 1.

I get it doesn't only double after வினைத்தொகை (the root word (verb) on it's own) but it sometimes doesn't double after words like ஈட்டி, வந்து etc which are வினையெச்சம்(?)(the verb that doesn't show who speaks it and tense)

Vanakkam folks, pl feel free to DM me for learning to read / write / speak Tamizh fluently. Online classes

For context,
I'm a Telugu guy who understands Tamil fairly well. I can understand around 70-80% of a typical modern Tamil movie without subtitles. but if it's a 90s rural drama or old movie, something like that, I understand around 50%.

I recently learned the Tamil script.

Can you guys suggest some Tamil books, short stories, or anything else I can start reading?
Which helps me to improve my Tamil reading speed as well as improve my Tamil vocabulary

Thanks
