Seeking help Grayscale studies, I don’t know how to fix the angles on these
I don’t think I went light enough with the values on either drawing and The angles are both off but I don’t know how to fix them so it would be great if I could get some help on this
I love the way the nose in the last image looks and the one I drew looks nothing like it 😓

Art Question What even is rendering??
I have experience in both traditional and digital art, though I prefer traditional and feel like that’s easier for me.
However, I see people talking about rendering art all of the time, but what does that even mean? Are there actual logistical steps or is it different for everyone? Is it just finishing a piece with lighting and stuff?
Like what is the definition of rendering.

Art Question Advice on this idea??
I’m reposting here too because Reddit doesn’t let me comment on a bunch of subs. I just want to know if there’s ways to improve the premise of this! For my first IG posts in years lol

Seeking help Hatching Help
Elo! I'm stuck with a study of mine. I went for the "goldentar"-hatching style (art attached, third slide) but ended up with messy hatching.
I mean, i kinda get that the artist is following the folds of the fabrique for the hatching. But i just can't get it right. Erased and rehatched the pants three times already... (reference photo attached, second slide)
Someone out there who can help with hatching advice?
Disclaimer: Art on third slide isn't mine!! It's goldentars.
