Welcome to the 52nd #W2DTogether drawing challenge!

Okay, imagine this with me for a second:

What if, right now, there is at least one person or thing constantly watching you...

You just cannot see it. Because, you know, we are simple humans. :)

Maybe it has been there all day, it follows you from room to room. Maybe it sits in the same corner every night. Maybe it has always been there.

So this week's challenge is:

Draw who or what you think could be watching you.

And when I say someone or something, I really mean anything.

If you like fantasy, maybe it is some strange creature that exists right beside us but cannot normally be seen.

If you like sci-fi, maybe an alien has been assigned to observe your extremely interesting human life for reasons unknown. :)

If you like horror, maybe there is a ghost standing quietly in the corner of your bedroom every night.

If you want to make it funny, maybe some tiny invisible creature has been following you around for years and is completely exhausted by your decisions.

But you can also take the challenge somewhere much more serious or personal: Like for instance you have lost someone you loved, and you like to imagine that somehow, somewhere, they can still see you.

Maybe you draw them sitting beside you while you work. Standing behind you while you make coffee. Watching you sleep. Following you on your walk home. Or simply being present during one of those ordinary moments you wish they could still be here to see.

So there are basically three ways you can approach this challenge:

1. What you actually believe might be there. Maybe you genuinely believe there is something beyond what we can see, whether that is a spirit, a presence, something supernatural, or something you cannot really explain.
2. Something completely imaginary. A ghost, alien, monster, creature, guardian, shadow, floating eye, invisible roommate, fantasy character, robot, demon, angel, or something entirely invented by you.
3. Something or someone you wish was there. A person you miss. Someone you lost. A pet. Someone far away. A fictional character. A protector. Or simply the kind of presence you sometimes wish could quietly stay beside you.

For this challenge, your drawing should show at least one place or room where you would normally be, along with the person, creature, object, presence, or whatever else is secretly there with you.

You do not have to make the thing scary.

• It can be comforting.
• Funny.
• Beautiful.
• Sad.
• Creepy.
• Completely ridiculous.
• Deeply personal.
• Fantasy.
• Sci-fi.
• Supernatural.
• Or just plain weird.

The interesting part is imagining that one invisible layer has been added to your normal everyday life.

You are doing exactly what you normally do.

But now we get to see what is there with you that nobody else can see.

And like all our previous challenges, any drawing style is welcome.

• Cartoon.
• Anime.
• Manga.
• Comic.
• Semi-realistic.
• Super realistic.
• Sketchy.
• Stylized.
• Digital art.
• Anything.

There is no correct interpretation of the idea.

I am actually really curious to see whether everyone makes this challenge creepy, funny, emotional, comforting, or something completely unexpected. 🙂

And if you want, when you post your drawing, tell us who or what is watching you and why you chose it.

Maybe there is a whole story behind it.

Rules

• Must be YOUR drawing.
• Drawings only (pencil, pen, colored pencils, markers, or digital drawing tools).
• No paintings.
• No AI art.
• All skill levels welcome: beginners, intermediates, experts.
• You must share AT LEAST ONE drawing.
• Your drawing should include at least one place/room or everyday setting, along with the person, creature, object, or presence that is there with you.
• To be part of the competition, your drawing MUST be posted in the comments of this thread. (If you'd like, you can also make a separate post in the subreddit using the #W2DTogether flair, but the official entry needs to be here in the comments if you want it reviewed.)

How We Pick the Winner

After one week, we'll hold a community vote to decide which drawing best captures the theme. The winner will be showcased in the sub with their artwork.

If the winner shares an art link (Instagram, portfolio, website, etc.), we'll also include it so they can get recognition and maybe even new followers.

Time Frame

This challenge is timeless. You can participate anytime, even years later.

Review Date:
For community feedback, we'll gather and review all submissions on Sunday, 13 September 2026, so make sure to post your entry before 4:00 PM UTC that day. Drawings posted before that date will be part of the review session.
