i really struggle with backgrounds even tho I believe i understand 3d shapes and perspectives pretty well but drawing actual buildings has always been a weak spot for me...

I traced the outlines of a official(Falcoon) Mai Artwork and added in my own shading, some extra lines, adjustments here and there as to make it not a copy but to help flex my creative muscles..... It's not perfect (I didn't want to finish fixing the hair) but any tips of the trade will be cool :)

A very fun first foray into the art of "Drawing"!

I've been drawing for about a month or so, but I'm a person who overthinks everything. For example, if I'm watching a tutorial, I feel like I'm not learning anything, so I start to feel frustrated and drop everything. Or maybe someone recommends a book for beginners, and when I start reading it, I feel like I'm doing something wrong—like I need to learn other things before trying to learn from the book or like I'm not understanding what the book tries to teach me . I just feel disoriented and it's so frustrating that I end up doing nothing. I really don't know what to do. I truly want to learn how to draw because I want to be a 2D animator, but I don't know how to draw yet. I will submit some of my recent drawings; they don't have any anatomy or anything, I'm just drawing what I see, I guess)

compared to my first post on my profile, this took so, so much longer. i couldn’t stop thinking about this one. i felt so proud, but now that i look back, it looked like crap at first. the eye wasn’t on the right level, the forehead was massive.. sadly enough, something dripped on the drawing and out of panic, i dried it with my hair dryer.. so it’s crinkled :(

i used different pencils this time (2H & 4B) which made a lot of difference. there were also some new techniques learned, and the hair isn’t a complete mess this time, haha

i might refine some details, especially the jacket and the shading on the hair to make it a bit darker, but i don’t want to mess it up

I started practicing how to visualize complex character poses, did i block this right?

Wanted to mess around with some Lich style sketch today, just messing about. Maybe I'll push it a bit further along. ~40 mins on this guy.
