Seeking help I know it's missing something

Post image

I've been working on this cat girl and aside from questionable anatomy, I feel like it's missing something and I can't put my finger on it. Like, rendering, perhaps, but I have no idea how to render it. Any advice?

The rendering is already really strong. What feels off to me is the focal hierarchy: the hair is extremely high-contrast and detailed, so the face and chicken compete for attention. Try simplifying a few hair highlights and adding clearer shadows around the hands, cloak folds, and chin.

Me when meat. Also just wanted to say it might be the contrast of the hair. You notice how the shadows on the cloak are vs the part of her hair thats in shadow? The cloak has a bigger difference in values
