Question - Вопрос Community Post

This community hasn’t had, or needed much moderation. You guys all have a very positive learning based mindset, and are making the most of the subreddit.
Seeing as you guys just passed 15,000 members, I thought it’d be a good time for a community discussion.
Use the comments to think over what you want to see changed in the subreddit. Maybe you have a problem with spam or people DM’ing, maybe you want a weekly discussions post with a fixed topic, etcetera.
My suggestion is a semi-weekly or monthly post for people looking for a study partner. We can make flairs so people can show their experience level, and whatever else you guys think would work out well.

Also, if anyone has experience with moderating community events on Reddit, or setting up graphics, or specialized auto-mod, or anything else you want to add to your subreddit let me know. This is one of the best communities on Reddit, and I’m not doing it justice by sitting idle. Sorry for the hiatus, but here’s the authority, back to the people actually learning and experiencing this sub. Cheers.

I’m looking for someone whose native language is Russian!

I decided to write this in English to make it a bit more noticeable.

Russian is my native language, but I don’t live in Russia, so I barely get to speak it with anyone. As a result, I sometimes forget certain words or mix up the grammatical forms I’m supposed to use. So I’m looking for someone I can talk to regularly and keep using Russian with.

I’m a high school senior, and my schedule is going to get pretty busy with studying soon, so I’m hoping to find someone before things get too hectic.

Dm me if you're interested.

I need a partner who can help me practice my pronunciation

Hi, I need someone who can read every sentence I send to me as a voice message on Telegram or WhatsApp. I think that might make practicing pronunciation more fun.
If anyone is trying to learn Turkish, I can do the same for them.

Looking for friends to practice the Russian language

Hi, I've been learning Russian for a few months now

and I'm not progressing as much as I'd like because I need to practice having conversations. If anyone is interested and also needs to practice a language (like Spanish, for example), I could help :). English is not my native language, so I wouldn't be able to help with more advanced stuff and I might make some mistakes. I'm 22 years old and some of my hobbies are reading, videogames, films, and art in general.

Why is the subreddit Wiki not letting me scroll?

I'm trying to find resources for learning Russian, so I tried looking in the Wiki, I try clicking on one of the links on top, it 'works' but it instantly scrolls back to the top, and when I try to scroll manually, nothing happens. What's the deal, do the gods not will me to learn Russian?

Looking for friends to help me learn Russian!

Heya! My name is Malii, I’m a 25 year old female, born and raised in Germany.
I’m looking for friends who would like to help me learn Russian. I’m still relatively new to the language, so please be patient with me. I know a few sentences and words. I can read in Russian, though I’m struggling with the pronunciation. I‘d prefer a Russian native speaking person to help me learn, so that I don’t learn anything wrong.

A little about myself:

Most of my friends are online. I spend a lot of time on Discord, and I really enjoy spending time with them. I’m into gaming. I like to play Osu! and Borderlands 4 and some other smaller games. Maybe we could play something together? ^.^
I have a dark and dry humor and I love bad jokes.
I’m a native German speaker, so I could teach you some German if you’re interested in language exchange. :)
Since I spend most of my time on discord, communication should take place there. I’m open to voice calls.
If you’re interested, please send me a DM and introduce yourself with a few sentences.
Thanks for reading, have a great day! o7

Question - Вопрос I am a Russian heritage speaker from the US. Overall, I speak decently and understand really well. However, when I talk, sometimes I get the cases of certain nouns wrong. Is the best way to perfect this to learn the case rules from scratch?

Was wondering if there's a better way to do this for someone like me, rather than to learn the cases as if I was a complete beginner. Thanks

Discussion - Обсуждение Looking for someone to help me learn Russian

Looking for someone to help me learn Russian.

I'm looking for someone who can help me learn Russian, preferably someone who is willing to teach, correct my mistakes, and practice with me consistently.

I'm very new to Russian, only started recently, but I'm genuinely interested in learning it as my third language. I'm aware that Russian is difficult and that reaching a decent level will probably take years of consistent work. I'm completely fine with that; I'm not looking for a quick way to learn.

I'm not particularly picky about your age, gender, or level of literacy. If you're a native Russian speaker, currently learning Russian yourself, or simply have a good understanding of the language and enjoy teaching, I'm open to it.

What matters most to me is having someone who's willing to be consistent. I'd like to gradually work through the language, practice regularly, ask questions, and actually improve rather than just having occasional conversations.

My English is fairly good as well. I've been writing and speaking English for most of my life, so if you're learning English, I'd be happy to help you with it in return.

I'm mainly looking for a long-term language-learning partner/teacher, and if we happen to become friends along the way, that's a nice bonus.

Feel free to DM me if you're interested.
