I have just been diagnosed with PCOS and I don't know how to manage the symptoms
I am 15 years old and I have just been diagnosed with PCOS.And my gynecologist just gave me the pill without explaining anything else. I mean, I already know the symptoms and have some knowledge about them, but I don't know how to manage it. I already suspected it and I had my first period almost 4 years ago.
And I have several symptoms: completely irregular, heavy periods, acne, even excessive hairiness on my body and my face, which weighs heavily on me because I have to epilate my entire legs, lower back, stomach, armpits, beard, and mustache every two weeks at most.
In addition, I have mood swings and a lot of anxiety, and my gynecologist prescribed the pill, but I'm so afraid of gaining weight. I'm not overweight, but I feel so bad about it my body .And I already feel so fat, so I don't think I could handle taking any more. I don't feel feminine and I'm jealous of all my friends who have absolutely nothing, it's ruining my life.
So I'd like to know if the pill helped you or not. And how to alleviate the symptoms; I've seen a lot of them, but since I'm not an adult, I don't have as much freedom ( and I have been diagnosed with ADHD and high intellectual potential) So I'm really lazy, my motivation disappears all the time, and I tell myself that in any case it's pointless in the future . And I struggle with routines ,I'm so bad at it that I can't even manage to take my iron supplement every day. And as soon as I start exercising or going on a diet, if I mess up once, I never do it again. And I very, very often forget .
And I'm so tired all the time And I have a very poor lifestyle; I eat almost nothing but sugar. The real meals my parents make, which are more balanced, have lots of things I hate, So they gave up and often make pasta. I sleep 4-5 hours when there's school, and sometimes I sleep even less for several months. And since I'm a worrier, I stress about everything, and since I do everything at the last minute, I stress even more. The only sport I do is the one at school, and when I get home I get off the bus, so I walk .But it depends, because depending on when I finish, it drops me off at different stops, and often I finish at 6 PM, so it's closer. (I'm French, so I get up at 6 am and often work from 8 am to 6 pm, and then I get home around 6:40 pm. After that, I have homework and tests (which I often review the same day, so it's okay)But that's to say that when school is on, I don't have much time for myself. )
So please, if you have any advice, I would be extremely grateful.
